Daawat Restaurant & Daawat Bakers — Restaurant in Punjab

Yesterday I visited the restaurant with my family. I had expected a lot from this restaurant but contrary to my expectations the service offered by the owner was really disappointing. We ordered Dal Handi and got some other dal instead which was much more expensive from the one we had ordered. When we asked for a refund or to reduce the amount to the dal we had ordered we were not addressed properly. Serving food is a a social act which they have clearly not understood. I would literally rate business ethics of the owner as zero. Would think twoce before visiting this...

This place is highly rated on Zomato. Since I am new to Rajpura, I chose to order a red velvet cake from Daawat Bakers for a special occasion. The cake delivered to us was stale and tasted very bad. We had to dispose it along with the pieces we had served to friends. Reported the issue to Zomato but as usual they said they will investigate and take an action. Reached out to the restaurant over WhatsApp but they didn't even acknowledge the issue leave aside responding to my message. Overall a very poor experience. Would not recommend this...

The service was decent but the food was not good at all. We ordered around 4-5 items and none of them were any good. Either the salt was too much or it was just bland. The ambiance is alright and the seats were comfortable but the food served wasn't what I expected. I had heard a great deal about it but it was rather disappointing. The bakery on the other hand was relatively good. We ordered a cake for our friend and it was served to us right on our table and it was quite good. I'll revisit the restaurant and update my review...
