DS Vaishno Dhaba — Restaurant in Punjab

Hi there!

Would love to share my experience at DS Vaishno Dhaba.

So I'm an abide traveller, who does travel atleast once bi-weekly inter-state, and recently I started using Intercity bus services.  This Dhaba was supposedly our mid night stop for dinner around 11:30 pm. And this dinner break is only of 30 mins. If someone is delayed then it affects all the other 20+ passengers

The food itself is overall good!

Now here's the catch.

Apparently  you need to be very well dressed ro be acknowledged and be serviced by the staff here, because otherwise you need to do everything for yourself,  from getting the menu to ordering it at the counter (to get the order slip after paying in full)  to go to their kitchen counter where the kitchen staff will take the slip and the self service. Note as this is a customer run activity the order for priorit is different from the staff run, you order will be certainly delayed comparative to the staff run service.

Now there are two sitting areas one is a decent ac dining inside their dhaba the other is an open space.

Apparently due to our casual outfits (which btw is an oversized T and a grey short) we were discriminated to be run-in-the mill customers and were treated very rudely by the staff at service time of 11:30 pm to 12:30 pm. Which delayed our orders and it's fulfilment,  which delayed our departure...

Nice restaurant on highway where you can stop and enjoy authentic vegetarian punjabi dishes. You can also enjoy home made sweets and yogurt. Restaurant has got ample parking space that gives you flexibility to park your car easily and enjoy food. There is a fuel filling station next to restaurant and a small playing area for kids. During the winter time you can sit inside so as to keep yourself warm while you enjoy your food or if it is sunny you can sit in the open area. As far as my taste is concerned we have enjoyed 'Palak Paneer and Dal tadka'. So my advise to you is if you are travelling to Jammu from Chandigarh you can stop at this restaurant for lunch and while returning back you can have your dinner. Only point to be kept in mind they have will bring salaad at their own and will charge you in bill for that so if you don't want it you can ask them to take it back. Pay only for what you eat. Their staff is also well trained and served is quite fast. I will try to add some photographs of this restaurant. Also I request you to let me know how did you find...

There is a park in this place we ever visit this dhaba and our children gone to park for FREE, but this time when our children goes to park and take a normal plastic small slide He/She were asked that there will be a fees of Rs 50 and our children stop using slides and come to dhaba which is on the side kf the park He/She takes the slide for 14-15 seconds but we say, our children always take this for Free and we continue to our food but when I go to Deposit the bill of our food, They cut Rs 50 extra without our permission, also they not even tell us and cut Rs 50 for only 14-15 seconds I say that this wrong then they say that everything right. { They say --- (Tusi apna kam karo saanu na sikhayo) }. Very bad experience By D.S DHABA It is a big dhaba but there staff is irresponsible, dirty, they deliver Food after 30 min of taking order🤢
