Sethi Dhaba Derabassi — Restaurant in Punjab

Sethi Dhaba is located in Dera Bassi and its bang on the highway that connects Ambala & Chandigarh. Its a vegetarian restaurant & famous for its stuffed paranthas & "Makhkhan" - White Butter. We have been here multiple times & love the paranthas here. The paranthas are pretty decent in their size & one is sufficient ro satiate your hunger. The Dhaba has spacious outdoor & indoor seating area. For the more enterprising one's, they have put Charpayi or the Manji (as they refer it as in Punjab) where you can take the feel of our beautiful Punjab village culture. Spacious Parking area available here as well.

The stuff that we tried here are mentioned below :-

Aloo Parantha : Adequate stuffing & nice flavour. It was a Tandoori Parantha & we had requested to make it crisp & they obliged us with the same. Served with a huge knob of "Makhkhan". They also provide two pickles alongwith it. Tasty indeed.

Gobhi Parantha : Equally good stuffing & flavour. Nicely diced gobhi together with onions & green chillies. Delicious.

Paneer Parantha : Huge stuffing of Paneer there. Pretty heavy on the stomach.

Makhkhan : You can have this as much as you want. It tastes fresh & pure. You would love it.

Tea : This was a pure winner. I am not a tea lover, however, I relished the tea here. Its just perfect. The prolonged heating of tea gives it a very peculiar flavour which will make you crave for more.

All in all, a pretty pleasing experience here. We came to know that they serve paranthas here day & night. They also serve Tawa Paranthas as well, which are equally good. A must try place. Hope the review...

Sethi Dhaba in Derabassi, Punjab, is a popular dhaba with a pleasant ambience and tasty food. However, the cleanliness could be improved. The lack of staff led to some areas of the dhaba being dirty. Additionally, the service at Sethi Dhaba was commendable. Despite the busy environment, the staff managed to deliver my order promptly, ensuring that I didn't have to wait for long.

Here are some specific points that could be improved:

*The tables and chairs could be cleaner. *The floors could be swept and mopped more frequently. *The bathrooms could be cleaned more thoroughly.

Overall, Sethi Dhaba is a decent dhaba with good food and service. However, the cleanliness could be improved to make it an even better...

Went there while returning back to delhi from Himachal.. we all were hungrry ... so stopped here.. the washrooms were not average but neat n clean (at 7 am in morning) we ordered 1 stuffed aloo Parantha and 1 paneer Parantha along with tea n coffee.. the taste was fine .. paranthad were as usual... cooked in tandoor n served with white butter.. few of us had tea... and few had coffee... now i must say... do mention them about the sugar.. because i felt that the sugar was too much for me... also my friend said the same about her coffee too... it was too sweet... and we literally left it as it is. the staff is fine.... but i felt not very active. . the ambiance is to create a village like aura ... with charpaai(khaat) and hukkas.. also.... the place gave the vibes of many cultural events(like cultural nights) too .... as there was a stage and lighting in the open area... the walls were having posters of movies and actors actresses ... so just you may stop thhere to have something while you are there.. 😊 ..have a...
