Smokey Jo’s is the only vegan restaurant I know of in Udaipur and thankfully, it provides a fantastic dining experience. The space is beautiful with a rooftop overlooking the city, a comfortable space that invites lounging, excellent service, and fantastic food. I loved it so much I ate there three times in two days.

The Arancini were incredibly tasty, perfectly fried and served with a delicious aioli.

The Cajun Fries were phenomenally spiced and perfectly fried. A true pleasure to eat. The portion was fair for two, which leaves some room for other things (sometimes restaurants go a bit too overboard on the amount of fries served)

The Pomodoro Eggplant Sandwich was phenomenal with smoky eggplant nestled with a creamy cheese and on the perfect focaccia. One of the best dishes I’ve had anywhere.

The Pesto Tofu Sandwich was also very good, with a fresh but rich complement of flavors. The homemade sourdough it’s served on is fantastic.

The Ricotta Sandwich, also served on the homemade sourdough, was also very good. It featured a rich cheese nestled with spinach and mushrooms.

The Basil Pesto Pasta with homemade noodles was fantastic and also one of my favorites, featuring the same pesto as the sandwich.

The Hummus Mushroom Sandwich was good with fresh tasting ingredients.

The Peanut Butter Cacao Smoothie Bowl was the only dish I really wouldn’t recommend. I wasn’t a huge fan of the base, which seems overly banana flavored and overall warmer than I expected for a smoothie bowl base.

As for drinks, I tried the Lemonade, Classic Chai, and Hot Chocolate. Every single one was an A+.

For dessert, they offered two crunchy cookies. The Chocolate Chip one was good; the Ginger one was fantastic.

Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough. Considering that I tried half the menu, and only disliked one dish, I’d say this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited. Shame I can’t bring it back...

An absolute must-visit in the old city! With stunning views of Pichola Lake, a killer vinyl collection (classic rock, jazz, blues—yes, please!), and a deep-rooted passion for sustainability, this all-vegan, pet-friendly café is a dream. I’m a regular here but let’s be real, my dog gets way more attention than I do (thanks to the Smokey Jo’s team spoiling her with treats). I also love working from the café, americano in hand, Pink Floyd playing, and the sun setting over the lake—pure bliss! Their fresh, preservative-free Kombucha brews are next-level, but I keep coming back to their Kokum & Ginger-Turmeric Kombucha—absolutely addictive. And the food is Lip-smackingly good! They nail their handmade pastas and in-house baked sourdough. My top picks -The Sloppy Jo Sandwich, Hummus Mushroom Toast, Pumpkin Alfredo, Al Pomodoro and Basil Pesto Pasta. For the health freaks their smoothie bowls and salads are spot on. To top it all off, they actively support local & international artists with tiny desk-style concerts that never fail to amaze. Kudos to the whole crew for making this place so special—keep...

This cafe is my go-to spot when my day’s completely gone to hell. The vibe is majestically comforting. It’s like a quiet retreat where I can just sit, breathe, and let the world slow down for a minute. The vibe inside is warm and comforting—there’s this gentle hum of conversations, the kind that doesn’t overwhelm you but somehow makes you feel less alone. The music is always the perfect background, never intrusive but enough to wrap around you and help you forget everything else.

The people here, whether it's the staff who remembers my order or the regulars who nod in silent understanding, add this unspoken sense of community. By the time I leave, no matter how bad my day started, I’m lighter, calmer—almost like I’m walking out a different person. This place really knows how to take a messed-up day and give you just what you need.

If you're in udaipur by any chance then visiting such rocknroll beauty is a...

Smokey Jo's: A Vegan Haven in Udaipur Smokey Jo's Cafe is a delightful surprise nestled in the heart of Udaipur. This cozy little eatery is a must-visit for vegans and food enthusiasts alike. The star of the show is vegan pancakes available in options. By chef Akanksha. Her innovative vegan dishes are not just delicious but also visually appealing. The pesto tofu sandwich is a flavor explosion, while the hummus mushroom is a comforting and hearty meal. Owner Jay, with his expertise in crafting the perfect bruschetta and coffee, complements the dining experience. The combination of delicious food and a relaxed ambiance makes Smokey Jo's a perfect spot to unwind and savor every bite. If you're looking for a place that truly understands and caters to vegan preferences, Smokey Jo's is the answer. A big shoutout to Smokey jo's and team for creating such a wonderful space.
