WelcomCafe Chinkara — Restaurant in Rajasthan

It's a beautiful property. Located around 10 kilometres from the centre of Jodhpur city. The ambience is good. I've been to this place a couple of times to meet the guests who had checked in. Yesterday I was there for two days, in connection with a wedding. They had two big gardens Mandore 1 and Mandore 2 where there were 4 different functions held. On 15th at 1 pm there was Mehandi function, then on 15th night there was a cocktail party Starry Nights, then on 16th afternoon there was a Rajasthani Carnival, and 16th night there was Reception. All the events were ultimately done by private event managers, so they were highly professionally organised. The hotel probably don't allow outside caterers hence the menu decided by the organisers was catered by the hotel. In all the 4 events the starters were very good, and we're served way passed the lunch or dinner except in the last event which was reception, when the baraat was delayed, and they didn't serve the starters for second serving too. The main course was OK. Not too bad and not amazing either. But the desserts were too good. For destination weddings it's a good place, for tourists it's good except it's very far from the city. So once you return from the sight seeing it's just impossible to even think of going to the city or if you just want to go about eating street food, it's...

First things first Location: Pretty far from the main city of jodhpur ,so you need to have a taxi booked with you. It's basically in a village location. So peace and tranquility are in abundance. But if you need some activities options are limited. If the concept of away from city is to be implemented properly then there ought to be some cultural events at night when one cannot go out of the property. 2.Property .. Beautiful property and well maintained as well. Very courteous staff and ambience is very enchanting. But some of the room features are faulty. Just like the air conditioning system of the room which gets stuck on at a particular temperature of 20 and below. Asking the mantainance people they give some very weird explanation that temperature can not be regulated. So either you freeze yourself to death or suffocate switching off the ac. Food..Good food, not exceptional though but worth it. 3 . After 8 :30 pm no food available for the driver which is not acceptable at any rate. One special mention for the staff especially Sasmita and vikash who were very nice and helpful....actually went out of the way in helping us making us happy. All the other members were equally nice and courteous...

I recently dined at this cafe for lunch along with my family. The cafe was pretty empty with limited guests. However, still the service was extremely pathetic. While we were having our lunch, there was no one around from the staff available who can take the order for breads, neither anyone came to ask us. The cutlery was smelling like fish and had very bad odour. The food was also below average since we belong to Rajasthan and had much better food than what was served to us. The portion size of non-veg platter was also not at par and not sufficient for 5 people compared to other 4-star available options in the city. Also, taste-wise it was below average only. However, after giving this feedback to the manager, they removed the service charge, but it is kind of shocking to see such kind of service from ITC. I would highly recommend to pick other options for fine dining...
