Zaitoon Restaurant, Ramnad — Restaurant in Ramanathapuram

We had worst experiences from zaitoon and will never recommend this restaurant for people who looks casual family style dining , first of all the waiters/ order takers don’t have any coordination between their own kitchen, we were told to order different items after 10 min wait time as the food we ordered originally wasn’t available however order was taken. Second their service is mediocre/ less than average type for the price they charged. Thirdly please don’t order their specials, we were suggested by the server to take some of their special and we ended up ordering their Raan Mutton biriyani for 2k plus and expecting juicy mutton chops but what we received is overcooked/ very chewy type mutton , only thing that was okey in that plate is rice and basically they pushed us/victimized us by selling stale items. Fourth, please ask waiters to pack over ordered items in front of your eyes and watch them carefully as we were missing many items as the items were taken inside for packaging and only 1/3 rd of meat that we ordered was available in container when we opened them at home ( especially all the side items that comes with combo we ordered were missing) . We spent almost 800 rs as avg per person but utterly dissatisfied for their service, quality and trust. Fifth they are literally asking every customer there to leave review on their restaurant and they are really meant to be posted by customers when they exceeds the expectation but surely not begged by restaurant owners/workers. Lastly we raised our concerns to one of the other attendees who reached out to us at end of dining but not sure that reaches whom it needs to be actually. Overall i can give only

We recently hosted a get-together for friends at Zaitoon Ramnad with a group of 45 people — 21 adults and 24 kids — and the experience was nothing short of fantastic!

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a lovely ambiance. The quality and quantity of food exceeded our expectations — every dish was served fresh, flavorful, and more than enough for all of us.

We ordered a wide spread: 🍽 Biryani, Noodles, Alfaham, BBQ, Kebab Platter, Fish Boneless, Seekh Kebab, Naan, Butter Chicken — every item was spot on in taste and presentation!

A special thanks to Manager Jayesh Sir, who ensured everything reached our table right on time with utmost care and coordination. His professionalism and attentiveness made our lunch experience truly smooth and enjoyable.

Ambience and the service was nice . I tried one zaitoon special platter they served chicken mutton fish prawn and squid it's a mixed nonveg and seafood platter I guess.my personal favourite dish is prawn but we skipped fish and add one more chicken dish.Hummus and mayonnaise was good. And for dessert we ordered sizzling hot brownie that too was nice. The only thing I don't like is their darjiling Salad because that lettuce tastes bitter and I hate that. Restroom was pretty clean and neat over all a must try place for the service and to try some arabian dishes 😊😊 A big thumbs up for parking they have huge space for parking. And If you came there by public transport that too a great idea it's located near the old busstand and railway station. And most importantly it's bit expensive 🫰🏻 but it's worth the price . We can try once...
