Doko Cafe is a little gem located off the beaten track on a picturesque, thoroughly green road between Thano and Jolly Grant near Dehradun.

The first impression you get is of warm welcome with a guitar propped front and centre, which immediately tells a story. The interior is in modern contemporary style with wood and local stones. There are different kinds of regular and low seating to suit each type of guest. The owner Ankush, who I believe is the one who has the affinity for guitars, and his team, have put their heart and soul into it.

The coffee is superb, and the menu though short, is well executed. The sandwiches and burgers are good, but the pizzas are outstanding and with each visit, we find the menu getting longer. The prices are also happy on the wallet.

It's a surprisingly good looking cafe in my neighborhood that I wasn't expecting to be this good but it was and I was quite happy to visit this place. The cafe is very well made with beautiful interiors and I am not surprised it has such high rating because the food was really good, surprisingly good.

We ordered Arrabiata(red sauce pasta), along with Mexican Pizza and Peri Peri Burger. We also had a cold coffee and mojito. Now mojito can be better, though my parents liked it but I could tell it's not how it's usually supposed to be. Coffee was good and all the three items we ordered were great as well.

Hopefully the quality remains same in coming months and years as it's only been 3 months since this place was opened. Would come and visit here quite often...
