My experience at this cafe was nothing short of magical. From the moment I stumbled upon it, I knew I had found a hidden gem in Gangtok.

Nestled in an ideal location, this cafe boasts a breathtaking view of the majestic mountains that surround it.

As I walked in, I was greeted with a sense of calm and tranquility that instantly put me at ease. The ambiance was perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful escape - be it for reading, writing, or working. The serene surroundings made it easy to focus and be productive.

The food at this cafe is just as amazing as the ambiance. Their coffee is rich and aromatic, their sandwiches are packed with fresh ingredients, and their chicken wings are some of the best I've ever had.

The cafe has an impressive collection of books, and I found myself lost in the pages of many of them during my visits. But it was the experience of looking outside the window that truly made this place special. The sight of the clouds passing by and the sound of the raindrops falling on the roof made for a surreal experience that I will never forget.

What's more, the owners of the cafe, Namgyal and Yolmo, are the perfect hosts. Their warmth and hospitality made me feel like I was at home, and they were always there to chat and share their knowledge of the local culture. They even organised a poetry workshop that I attended, which was an unforgettable experience.

This cafe is a must-visit in Gangtok if you're an intellectual, a remote working professional, or simply someone who enjoys quiet moments, this is the perfect place to unwind and recharge.

We were lucky to have booked a stay very close to cafe 101 else our gangtok trip would’ve been truly less memorable. We spent most of our time in gangtok working out of the cafe, because the space was too peaceful - its warm, cozy with great music and very thoughtfully put together by namgyal and dawa. Their passion for good food, good coffee and building a community is evident in the yummy food (pesto spaghetti), brilliant french press coffee and our favourite ginger honey lemon tea. Folks?! Please don’t forget to drop in this new cafe called CAFE 101 located in Bojoghari, Gangtok. It’s slightly away from the hustle and bustle from the main town which in itself is amazing. The cafe has a nice ambiance and vibe to it and people from all walks of life can come and enjoy delicious food, good coffee and the spectacular view of the hills.
