Ridiculous management of the cafe , may b the view is good which initially attracts the tourists but alas their behaviour is so bad that cannot be expressed in words. Me with my family visited the cafe today in the evening where we initially my mother in law fell off while she was checking out a cup kept at the store . She had a major fall where a flower tub fell on her too, even after such an incident nobody from their management came to check in none offered any first aid but they didn't forget to add the charge of a broken cup she was checking out . Initially they said two cups were broken which were priced at 200/- (available in 50/- at m g marg), and they charged us 100/- for each, but whereas only one cup was broken but after 2 mins another lady had come who claimed to be the owner and wanted us to pay 200/- more and pay the actual price of the cups.. This is the first experience that I had in the city , never expected such kind of behaviour from people of this city.
Would request all tourists to carefully visit the place as they might apply as many ideas to...
Read moreFirst of all the one thing which I really loved about the Sikkim is it's people. They have been very sweet and helpful. I would like to say it happened the same with me at Oasis Cafe as well. While we were entering into Sikkim I saw this beautiful place near the valley and wanted to visit but unfortunately we couldn't stop as we were already late, but when returning back from Sikkim I was not feeling well and we wanted to eat something before our journey to Darjeeling. This place is located beautifully one can sit on the 1st floor and enjoy the beautiful mountain view along with nice food. We had a veg Manchow soup and momo's here. Trust me they are very delicious and you will enjoy every bit while watching the beautiful mountains and river.
I would like to specially thank the owner when we asked for any nearby pharmacy he had given us few from his own stock and also given some natural remedies for our travel. It really helped me for my travel and I would really thank you so so much...
Read moreI went here 2 times during my Sikkim trip. 22nd March 2023 evening and 26th March 2023 evening during return. Positives - Best welcome you can get on entering the Sikkim border. One of the few places during the tour, where we got momos in bamboo box. View is mesmerising. One side is river, other side is a Highway turning with huge Shiva Statue. The rains during my 1st visit was cherry on top. We were confused about which view to opt for. Finally we had momos on 1st floor with River view. And then tea at ground floor with Shiva Statue view. Neat, Clean, Family friendly, must visit cafe. Momos are authentic. If you don't like the taste of momos here, you wont like anywhere. Too many items to choose from, including the local varieties of Temi Tea and Darjeeling tea. And you can also buy authentic tea, gift items, souvenirs from here.
Negative - Its costly. Tea is Rs.90 around. But its totally totally worth. Gift items...
