Clean atmosphere, homely food. The foods were fresh and newly cooked during our visit. Stuffs are friendly. We tried Bengali thali during the lunch, which was great. The taste was great. The roti and tarka were great too. If you are travelling from/to NJP, then this place is must visit for the lunch or dinner. Price is reasonable. Kalpana Hotel is highly recommended.

A reasonably clean restaurant amongst several such other eateries located at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station parking area. They provide Indian & Chinese style food, tea coffee water cold drinks. They are open almost round the clock. Prices are at par with nearby restaurant. Taste & quantities of foods are OK. But they make very spicy food.

The hotel is before the New Jalpaigudi Railway station. In the main line of many hotels, this one is. Compare to other tourism place the food is not so expensive. For puri-sabji at the morning you have to pay only fourty rupees. And for other items you can have a look on Menu. Recommend in low budget. Happy Journey.

I ordered takeaway from this restaurant with high hopes, but left with nothing but regret. They charged us ₹320 for a simple Daal Tadka — a price that’s literally double compared to any decent restaurant of the same level. Naturally, I thought maybe the taste or quantity would justify it. Sadly, it was the opposite. The dal was bland, lifeless, and nowhere near the flavor you’d expect — honestly, a small street-side stall makes a far better dal tadka at half the cost.

What hurt the most wasn’t just the money wasted, but the feeling of being misled by the glowing, sugar-coated online reviews. Please don’t get fooled like I did. Sometimes hype is just hype, and this place is living...
