Laddoo Gopal - Salugara — Restaurant in Siliguri

I don't find any reason except for Veg Option and warm Hospitality to visit this place once again. Food is overpriced and portions are small. A normal thali that is priced rs 290/- has such small portions of curries and 2 chapatis that the person is left starving. What is the purpose of having thali when you are not satisfied even after paying the amount. The management must think about this . Atleast have some humanitarian approach instead of just filling your pockets with money.

Moreover the menu is overpriced and over-hyped. Tasteless/bland food . I don't prefer this place to be selected as an option for fulfilling your appetite.

I will still say the platter is not enough for one person. Secondly that is my opinion, and I have already mentioned that the management must think about the portions . It's well and good , you guys are operating from last 11 years but still needs improvement in my opinion Getting offended by my review is not the solution , making a change is an option to serve better. There are other outlets too in Silliguri that are serving food since a long time and are surviving in this competitive scenario. It's better to take criticism in a learning point of view rather than getting offended. That is my view and when it will change ... I will surely come and give...

The owners/ people at counter are really rude and very uninformed about their offerings. We were recommended this restaurant for the food variety, however they were hardly serving anything from their apparently extensive menu. We also had to keep asking what items would be available - they had to ask in the kitchen for every single item. While this was a bad experience in itself, we decided to figure out what we could try from their options. Unfortunately, the owners felt we were asking too much and told us to order or leave as they were in a hurry.

Once the orders were finally placed, it took them almost 45 minutes to get everything ready. And guess what? In the meantime, they apparently started serving ALL those items which they had refused before!!

Coming to the good, it was just as bad. Dosa was below average, choley bhature was terrible, black dal was super watery, hakka noodles was overcooked, chaas was extremely salty. The only slightly decent item was Puri bhaji, I guess.

Ladoo Gopal – Great Sweets, But Service Needs Serious Attention

While the sweets are good, the customer service is a major letdown. The front packing staff seriously lack politeness. They’ve hired people who talk in a rude, unprofessional tone — more like a street-side sweet vendor than a reputed brand.

I’ve personally experienced and witnessed multiple customer arguments, often caused by the same staff. One particular elderly man is always short-tempered and unable to communicate politely.
