Disappointing Dining Experience at Sri Nandhana Vignesh

After our divine darshan at Arulmigu Sri Eachanari Vinayagar Temple, we spotted Sri Nandhana Vignesh restaurant right across the street. Given its numerous reviews, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.

The quality of the food was not good at all. Both the rasam and sambhar were extremely watery, resembling a colorless liquid rather than the rich, flavorful dishes they should be. It was quite disheartening to see this floating on our rice, and the taste did nothing to improve our opinion.

Overall, it was a complete disappointment. I am now questioning the authenticity of the numerous 4-star and 5-star reviews that are posted for this place. It certainly did not live up to its rating.

The meals lacked the authentic South Indian flavor, and the sambar, rasam, and poriyal felt bland and uninspired. Rice was overcooked during my visit, and the service was slow even though it wasn’t crowded. Pure vegetarian south Indian Cuisine. With brilliant service and well managed staff. Starts early morning at 7 am and open till late. Vignesh has the infrastructure to support quick quality food at a reasonable price. It offers a huge variety of veg offerings. Besides south Indian, some fast food items are available especially for children. This place is a spot for regulars and visitors to the Ganapathi temple at Echanari. A must visit.
