gokul sizzler review* (devil's bhel with extra regret)

We wanted to try out sizzler at gokul. We asked the staff member to suggest us their best sizzler. He recommended "gokul special sizzler". We ordered it. And if you are aware of "Surendranagar sizzlers" you will know that anywhere you go and you order a sizzler it usually takes a bit more than regular menu items to have it prepared. Gokul people made it in 10 minutes and as soon as it arrived and when we tasted it we found out why. The chef (i don't think the term chef applies to whoever made it) put french fries and pasta and a half burnt tomato and 2-3 pieces of burnt paneer into a mix. And added tomato ketchup and probably green chilly sauce, red chilly sauce and soy sauce and mixed it to hell and served us. And that is all there was in the sizzler. Boiled pasta and fried fries mixed with sauces. He made the sizzler the same way you would probably make Maggi at home. Except your home maggi would actually be better. It was less of a sizzler and more of a bhel that the devil would make as a prank for his demented buddies. If you are having a really good day and you want to waste it by spending 270 rs then I highly recommend it.

Above everything, I would like to tell you the most admiring thing about this place is the owner of this restaurant. I have been observing for more than decades that the owner himself is standing near the entrance gate taking all the orders, asking people to sit comfortably, calling people once their turn comes, managing staff of more than 50 people, what a dedication and generosity. This is the rarest example that I have seen as per my experience. I would like to appreciate the work he is doing 👏🙏

Now let's talk about food. The food quality was above expectation especially in the ala carte menu like Dhosa, Sizzlers and Punjabi. Gujarati thali is above average but worth it. They have Huge parking facility. The outdoor and indoor ambience is classy. A very neat and clean place.

When to visit - Just make sure that you are not going on the weekend as you might have to wait for an hour or more. Weekdays would be a good choice to go.
