Adyar Ananda Bhavan - A2B — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

The place is good, nice restaurant - very neatly cleaned. The restaurant was not full but still delayed service but that is manageable. The food was good enough.

I had life time worst experience in the sweet stall inside..there was only 1 guy to attend and he didn't gave any attention to us. we waited for 5 minutes for him to attend us but he was busy doing his work - packing something. When I called him, he very carelessly asked us to wait and continued his work. I thought he'll come in a minute or 2 but he never came back. I asked him to attend us first and continue his work later but he didn't reply nor paid any attention to us. it was not even a busy day and there were no one else in the sweet stall other than us.

I complained to nearby restaurant manager or someone, he asked us to wait and went to talk him. I thought at least someone is being responsible but they both never came back. I have never seen this kind of behaviour in any restaurant - simply ignoring the customers and not attending them. I left with displeasure and disappointed with the sweet stall service. in fact there was lack of proper service.

This made me felt I should never to goto A2B in future though it is only the sweet stall guy's fault.

REVIEW EDITED due to bad experience in A2B. Ordered mini tiffin, nothing special in this mini tiffin. There's no complimentary tea or coffee with this mini tiffin. Rather than other places they offer complimentary tea or coffee with reasonable prices. Some years back this plate has one idli, one masala dosa, one scoop of pongal, one vada, one variety dish, one chapathi and one scoop of kesari. Nowadays it has only one idli, one mini masala dosa and the dosa is very thinner than a paper, one kichadi and one scoop of kesari. The served items were reduced and the taste was not good as expected. Waiters were not polite and waited half an hour to get our oders. Longtime ago there were more waiters to serve. They take orders from two tables. But now there are only few of them working and taking orders 5 tables at a time. And one more thing to say is If we went to the place as a group, they taking so much time to serve. Waiters having partiality between customers to serve. One last thing to say is that the people working in the packing room should process the orders faster to avoid customer dissatisfaction. Prices are higher...

One of the fine dine along the Madurai Tiruchirapalli Highway..... A decent food court..... Asthetically filled with mind-blowing architecture...... Dine in area was really spacious.,... Food is delicious 😋 All items especially Tamilnadu dishes like idly, dosa, Pongal,Vada with numerous flavoured chutneys and Sambar A MUST TRY DISH .... Chinese cuisines like Fried rice , Noodles, etc.... Special Dishes like Mushroom, panner , vegetable mix etc all are worthy...... Lunch meals is ultimate..... Briyani is there vegetable Biryani, Mushroom briyani ....... Taste is delicious and nutritious..... Neat and hygiene environment.... Clean restrooms are available Plenty of parking lot..... Assistant during rainy season with umbrella 🏖️☔🌧️ is 👍.... Overall a definite stop 🛑🚏 during journey to Madurai, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, Thiruchendur, Kanyakumari etc.... Down...
