Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Hype

We stopped at A2B for dinner on our way back to Bangalore, but it turned out to be the worst food experience of our entire journey.

Except for the coffee, achari paneer tikka, and chilli parotta, everything else we tried was tasteless and a complete disappointment.

We ordered Manchow soup and Sweet and Sour soup, and honestly, there was no difference between the two except for the namkeen they added to the Manchow soup. It felt like they prepared a single base and served it in different bowls, adding random toppings to make them seem distinct. Avoid their soups at all costs unless you want to regret it.

I had high expectations for their dosa, but it was a letdown. The chutneys were subpar, and I have no idea what they served in the name of sambhar—it was completely off.

We also tried Paneer 65, which was just chunks of paneer dipped in gram flour, deep-fried, and served. There was no seasoning or flavor—just bland and oily. Definitely not worth trying.

Adding to the disappointment, half the items on the menu (like sandwiches and Mysore masala dosa) were unavailable. On top of that, the food is overpriced for the quality they serve.

The staff didn’t help improve the experience. When we asked for another menu, a lady rudely responded, “I already gave you one menu na,” which was unprofessional and uncalled for.

The only positives were ample parking and clean washrooms, but unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for the poor food, rude service, and high prices.

Food deserves no more than 2 stars. I would not recommend stopping here unless...

Recently, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at Adyar Ananda Bhavan (A2B), and it was truly a delightful experience. Located conveniently on the route from Bangalore to Kerala, this restaurant offers much more than just a pit stop; it provides a memorable culinary journey.

The food at A2B surpassed our expectations. One dish that stood out was the parotta with kurma. The flakiness of the parotta combined perfectly with the rich and flavorful kurma, leaving our taste buds craving for more. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs at A2B.

Beyond the delicious food, what truly impressed us was the family-friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious and well-lit, with comfortable seating arrangements suitable for families of all sizes. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an ideal place for a relaxed family dinner.

Parking can often be a hassle when dining out, but not at A2B. The restaurant offers ample parking space, ensuring a hassle-free experience for diners. This convenience adds to the overall positive impression of the establishment.

Whether you're a local or a traveler passing through, Adyar Ananda Bhavan (A2B) is a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts. It's more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary haven where families can create lasting memories over delicious food. If you're ever on the road from Bangalore to Kerala and in need of a satisfying dinner, look no...

It's a prime example of an establishment trying to do too many things and losing focus on their key value proposition i.e. a sumptous south indian meal! The meal was average, with gravies that tasted similar to each other. Service lacked enthusiasm and I felt unhappy about my decison to spend time and money at this outlet. They are co located with a huge Bharat Petroleum station, therefore it's a big space with enormous parking. This outlet sells Adyar sweets, Adyar snacks, Adyar ice cream and everything else. Food is just not a priority and it comes through. I wouldn't recommend A2b basis my experience with multiple outlets in Bangalore and this one. Hit and miss ratio in terms of experience is more misses than hits for me. I hope other folks have better experiences than mine and I wish A2b best of luck!
