At around 11:25 am on 8th June 25, on my way back from Chennai to Bangalore, I stepped into this Ahmedia Restaurant and ordered a "Takeaway" of 2 small Buckets of Mutton Biriyani and then sat at a table and ordered my breakfast of Paya and Parotta. A few minutes later a huge lady and two males wearing shorts (likely Malaysians) entered and placed a takeaway order and just to wait, they sat at the next table. As I was having my breakfast, I saw a guy from the kitchen carrying two small Biriyani buckets and some more food packets in covers, come out and these Three people got up and escorted the guy carrying the parcels to their vehicle. They paid by card. The small boy who took my orders was also taking other table orders and was busy running here and there, being a busy Sunday. I managed to catch him and inform that I saw two Buckets go out and to check if it's not mine. He rushed out the door and came back saying it's not mine. Even before he went out, those "three cheaters" had driven off with FREE MUTTON Biriyani worth Rs. 2500/- plus GST. After a while the boy checked the kitchen and realised that the guy had wrongly delivered my food also to those three people. Attaching a picture of THAT LADY. Unfortunately it's not full identity.. But hope she gets to see this and pay up the Restaurant. But honest people should have known when the guy placed it in their vehicle itself!!
Lessons for the Restaurant : Keep one person exclusively to take parcel orders and monitor delivery. Packed items coming out of the kitchen should be checked with bill shown by the customer. Or follow a Numbering and Token system, atleast during...
Read moreAhmedia located on the Bangalore chennai highway is a boon to travellers, u don't have to go into the busy crowded vaniyambadi town with no parking to eat some good stuff, Good restrooms ( i hope they maintain it well and stays clean and hygienic). Amazing menu options, very welcoming staff, good ambience , yes very crowded, good quick service, though the platter's take sometime ( probably 20 mins). if u are a soup & starters( appetizers) person , you ll be run over by the variety they have , and all of them are so good.. we tried mutton/ chicken sukka( very peppery but really well cooked and yummy), mixed special platter ( it's a spread by itself, don't order if u don't have more than 4 adults), the fish and prawns are really yummy. Bheja fry and chicken rolls ( like shawarma) worth the try , i have to try the rest and will soon. Mutton biryani - basmati rice, so didn't enjoy it very much , it was flavourful, no masala like our local biryani, mutton was soft juicy and yummy , the brinjal curry with it was really good. You can end with some good ghee smeared carrot halwa. It's not over yet, don't miss the dhumtea at the outdoor teashop ask for dishanbhai u should watch the way he prepares it , it's awesome, don't miss it at all though the quantity is wee less, you ll want to dive into another cup for sure. Overall a good meal 😋 and really enjoyed it. Worth driving all the way from vellore. P.s excuse the quality of my pics . Courtesy my sexy Mi...
