AL TAJ FAMILY RESTAURANT -Vellore — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Positives:

-Food is delicious and available in varieties. -Ambience is good especially with the window area. -Parking is very good with a comfortable access and space.

Negative(s):-

Service:- What can I say, I have never faced such rudeness in any other restaurant in my entire life and I am 36. Just because we ordered a lot(we were 5) and had to call upon the waitress accordingly, she treated us rudely unsolicitedly. She was cursing us in her mother tongue, responding to our requests for service with a rude Nos and finally when she was cleaning our table, she was deliberately dropping the dishes so high to her bin in a way the left over in them were splashing on us. When we encountered it, she further went on to rant on her mother tongue cursing us. To our dismay, even her supervisors didn’t took care of this situation. He just ignored the issue conveniently and proceeded to give us the bill. We were dumbfounded with their attitude as we were polite all the while in our time in the restaurant and still they were very offensive in an obscene way, only because we ordered more food, for which they had to serve more than usual. We will never visit that place again.

P.S: The waitress is from northeast and the supervisor who ignored this...

Disappointing Experience - Terrible Service and Food Quality!

I recently visited Al taj, and it was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with no enthusiasm, as though our presence was a burden. The guy named Pradep who took our order was completely uninterested, unprofessional, and seemed completely clueless. Someone kept the plate and He scolded the person and asked to remove the plate. He didn't even bother to explain the menu or offer any recommendations, making us feel rushed and unimportant. He don't want south indians to come to this restaurant. He is not from tamilnadu.

When the food finally arrived, it was cold, bland, and poorly presented. I had high hopes for Biriyani,, but it tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The portion sizes were laughably small, and the ingredients seemed subpar at best. I had to wait forever for refills on my drink, and the entire time, the waiter was nowhere to be seen.

For the price, this restaurant does not even come close to offering decent food or service. I left disappointed and frustrated. I won’t be returning, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place unless they want to waste their...

Turned in here to satisfy lunch time hunger on our way to Chennai. Got misled by the ratings of this hotel on google.

Why there is 4 star rating for such a miserable food. We ordered hot n sour chicken soup which had raw and old chicken in it. When complained the serving person had no answer for it.

We also ordered pepper chicken which i can tell blindly that the cook doesn't know how to make. It seems to me cook just emptied the whole bottle of pepper for us with love. I asked the serving waiter to come and taste it, for which he replied- "that's how pepper chicken will be" (without having a taste of it). Seriously? This is not the first time i ordered pepper chicken and also even if it was the first time- i know the difference between old and fresh meat.

Sorry to say, but i wont recommend such restaurants to anyone. Please try to teach your staff how not to be careless both in cooking as well as while replying and handling customers.

I hope the management takes some action as i pray such a treatment doesn't happen to any other family...
