Rahmath Border Parotta Kadai at Senghkotai is undeniably a hidden gem that adds an exquisite touch to your visit to Kuttralam. The culinary experience at this eatery is simply outstanding, leaving guests with unforgettable memories of delectable flavors and heartwarming hospitality. For all the food enthusiasts out there, this place is a must-visit spot!

The highlight of the dining experience at Rahmath Border Parotta Kadai is undoubtedly their incredibly soft and delicious parotta. Each bite melts in your mouth, leaving you craving for more. The parotta is perfectly complemented by their flavorful and aromatic salna, creating a heavenly combination that will tantalize your taste buds.

However, it's essential to be prepared for the bustling atmosphere, especially during peak hours. As this restaurant has earned a well-deserved reputation for its exceptional cuisine, it tends to draw a substantial crowd, making it a bit challenging to secure a seat immediately. Nonetheless, the vibrant ambiance and the lively atmosphere contribute to the overall charm of the place.

The parcel section is a hotspot of activity, with eager patrons lining up to get their favorite dishes packed for takeout. While the staff does their best to handle the crowd efficiently, the demand during peak hours can lead to longer waiting times, often exceeding 30 minutes. Patience is a virtue here, and if you have the time to spare, it's well worth the wait.

One aspect that could use some improvement is the speed at which they handle the parceling process. The staff's swift pace might sometimes lead to the parcels being put together hastily, potentially causing minor inconveniences like leaking containers or mixed-up orders. Nevertheless, this minor drawback is far outweighed by the incredible taste of the food.

One dish that might not be worth the splurge is their Nattukozhi pepper chicken, which is priced exorbitantly at ₹120 for a relatively small piece. For those who are budget-conscious, it might not be the best value for money, considering you could purchase more than half a kilogram of raw chicken and prepare a scrumptious meal at home for your family or friends at a fraction of the cost.

Despite this one drawback, Rahmath Border Parotta Kadai offers a delightful array of other mouthwatering dishes that cater to various palates and preferences. Their menu boasts an impressive selection, ranging from traditional South Indian delicacies to flavorsome regional specialties.

In conclusion, Rahmath Border Parotta Kadai is a culinary destination that should not be missed during your visit to Kuttralam. The parotta and salna combination alone is worth the trip, leaving you with an unforgettable gastronomic experience. Just be prepared for the bustling crowd, especially during peak hours, and consider exploring other equally delightful dishes on their menu. Your taste buds will thank you for this delightful...

My visit to the much-hyped Border Rahmath Parotta Stall was, without exaggeration, one of the worst dining experiences of my life. After driving 125 kilometres specifically for their "famous" food, I left feeling utterly ripped off and frankly, a bit ill.

Zero cleanliness is an understatement. The stall and surrounding area were utterly filthy. Sticky floors, overflowing bins, grime-covered surfaces – it was genuinely gut-wrenching. This wasn't just messy; it was a blatant health hazard.

Forget hospitality. The staff seemed completely indifferent, bordering on hostile. There was no greeting, no smile, just an impatient scowl as if customers were an inconvenience interrupting their day. The atmosphere was deeply unwelcoming.

This was the breaking point. The person taking orders was serving food with his bare hands. No gloves, no tongs, nothing. Watching him touch parottas and other items after handling cash was absolutely revolting and a massive red flag for food safety. This alone makes this place unsafe to eat at.

We ordered their specific dish, Chicken Pichi Porichathu, along with an Omelette. After waiting an agonizingly long time (well over 30-40 minutes) amidst the chaos, we realized our food simply wasn't coming. No explanation, no apology. Just utter disorganization and disregard for customers who had paid and waited.

The huge queue outside wasn't a sign of popularity, but a sign of terrible management. The staff had absolutely no clue how to handle the crowd. There was no system, no information, just a confused mob waiting indefinitely with no indication of progress or order.

Finding parking anywhere near this stall is a nightmare, adding significant stress to the whole ordeal. Be prepared to circle endlessly or park very far away.

The combination of filth, rudeness, unsafe practices, unfulfilled orders, and chaotic queues demonstrates a complete lack of respect or care for the people who keep this place running. They take your money and offer nothing but frustration and disgust in return.

Save yourself the time, money, and potential food poisoning. Border Rahmath Parotta Stall is a disgrace. The legendary status is utterly undeserved based on this experience. The filth, the bare-hand food handling, the rudeness, the wasted time, and the unfulfilled order after a 125km drive make this place an absolute AVOID. There is nothing here worth enduring this level of incompetence and disregard for basic hygiene and customer service. Profoundly, bitterly disappointing....

Located near the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, Border Rahmath Porotta Stall is a well-known local eatery that has built a reputation over the years for its late-night service and classic porotta-beef combo. It attracts a steady flow of travelers, truck drivers, and food lovers looking for a hearty, spicy meal on the go.

The porotta is undeniably soft and flaky—one of the highlights of this stall. Paired with spicy beef curry or chicken fry, the food hits the mark if you're craving that authentic, no-frills roadside flavor. Portions are generous and prices are pocket-friendly, which makes it even more appealing for budget diners and students.

However, while the taste is good, it’s not extraordinary. The dishes can sometimes be overly oily or inconsistent in flavor, depending on how busy the kitchen is. On peak nights, especially weekends or holidays, the quality may drop a notch due to the rush.

Hygiene and cleanliness could definitely be improved. Like many roadside eateries, the dining area is basic, with plastic chairs and open-air seating. Cleanliness around the serving counter and hand-washing areas can feel neglected at times. It’s functional, but not for the faint-hearted when it comes to hygiene.

Service is fast and straightforward. Don’t expect a menu or elaborate hospitality—it’s quick and efficient, with the staff focused on moving orders as fast as possible.

Overall, Border Rahmath Porotta Stall is worth a try if you’re nearby and craving a spicy, filling meal, especially late at night. Just manage your expectations on cleanliness and ambience. If you're there for the food and nothing else, it won’t disappoint—but it’s not a place you’d go out of...

Shencottai is the border area of kerala and tamilnadu and this food outlet being located in this border area came to be known as border chicken kadai while its actual name is rahmath hotel. Functioning for more than fifty years this hotel from its earlier days attains popularity through the mouth publicity given by local tourist of kuttalam water falls and the lorry and bus drivers who have been the regulars here. Over time this small country side hotel attain its glory and praise and now the most sought after food joint for all class of people from all over the country who visits kuttalam water falls. The uniqueness of the food here is without any flavours or colours spicy pepper chicken, carved chicken, soft coin parotta, quail chicken, onion salad, salna, egg bullseye combination freshly cooked and hotly served in plaintain leafs felting the traditional authenticity of tamilian food and the richness of its taste and smell is mouth watering inducing everyone once visited to repeat their visit. Iam visiting this hotel with family while coming to kuttalam falls for the last forty years without break that much its attraction. Distance 5km from kuttalam.

This restaurant is a must-try, even if you’re not typically a fan of Tamil Nadu-style food—you might just fall in love with it, as I did! The food here is incredibly tasty and delicious, leaving me with no words to explain just how good it is. Every dish bursts with authentic flavors that are sure to impress. Two standout dishes you absolutely must try are their Pichi Potta Chicken Pepper Fry and Kadai Kozhi. Both are bursting with flavor and are perfect examples of Tamil Nadu’s rich culinary heritage. They’re simply irresistible! The service is equally remarkable. The staff is attentive, welcoming, and treats you with so much care that it enhances the overall dining experience. They truly go the extra mile to make you feel special. I also have to mention the juices—they are absolutely yummy and refreshing, complementing the food perfectly. This place has completely changed my perspective on Tamil Nadu cuisine. I highly recommend visiting it at least once—you won’t regret it!

Honest review about this overhyped place . The restaurant was extremely overcrowded, making it hard to even move around and unwelcoming . During peak hours , you have to wait minimum of 20 to 30 minutes to get a seat . Definitely not worth the wait . The waiters have the worst behaviour and rude attitude . No Hygiene is followed by them too . Now about the food , it tastes really good . They serve only few dishes and its top notch . It’s absolute rip off . For the ambience and worst staff behaviour , they charge prices like some well maintained restaurants . As Courtallam is nearby , most people take bath and come in wet condition too , leaving a bad smell . People were practically bumping chairs with every move; there was zero personal space . You cannot eat your food patiently . Not suggested to visit with kids or people who cannot wait for a long time .
