Cafe Udupi Ruchi stands out as a high-quality vegetarian restaurant conveniently located on the Chennai-Trichy highway at Dindivanam. Whether you’re a traveler looking for a quick bite or someone planning a leisurely meal, this place is a great choice.

I had the chance to try both breakfast and lunch here, and both experiences were quite satisfying. For breakfast, the Dosa, Idly, and Vada were outstanding. The Dosa was crispy and golden, the Idly soft and fluffy, and the Vada perfectly crunchy. These classic South Indian dishes were made to perfection and truly hit the spot.

For lunch, I opted for their fried rice and veg meals. The fried rice was well-seasoned, with a good mix of vegetables and just the right amount of spice. The veg meals offered a delightful variety of flavors, with each component well-prepared and delicious. However, the Chapati fell short of expectations. It was a bit dry and not as soft as I would have liked.

One of the major advantages of Cafe Udupi Ruchi is the ample parking space. Unlike many other highway stops, you won’t have to worry about finding a spot for your vehicle, which adds to the convenience, especially if you’re on a long journey.

Overall, Cafe Udupi Ruchi is the best option in the area for those seeking a high-quality vegetarian meal. The variety and quality of food, combined with the convenient location and ample parking, make it a top choice for anyone traveling along the...

Good place to eat when you travel to Tiruvannamalai. We went there for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place is neat and clean with responsive waiters. Got our table immediately and placed our orders. We ordered - Crispy Baby Corn Fry for starter. The masala was so light with baby corn fried to perfection with absolute crisp with less oil. We enjoyed it. Then comes the main course. Unlimited Veg meals: Had Ghee and paruppu podi, chappathi, veg kurma, sambar, rasam, kootu, special curry, thovaiyal, poriyal, sweet and packaged curd. The rice served was so good. Ghee and podi was outstanding, all dishes were subtle, had home cooked flavor. Bisi Bele Bath: Served piping hot topped with kara boondhi accompanied by appalam. It had the right spices and the taste buds was dancing. Chilli Parotta: Nice fried parotta pieces with good amount of sauces, was tangy and spicy. Enjoyed it. Garlic Kulcha: Its so soft and had right amount of garlic and was perfectly cooked. Paneer Butter Masala: Had enough masala and spices, with many soft paneer pieces. Went well with the Kulcha.

We paid just less than 850Rs for all these dishes for the four of us. Over all a very good place for lunch on a highway. Pocket...

A Must-Visit Spot for Snacks, Quick Bites, and Tiffin! We dropped by for a weekday lunch with no special occasion (like a full moon day), which is when many devotees heading to Tiruvannamalai usually stop here. The restaurant is conveniently located at the junction of the Chennai–Trichy highway and the Tindivanam–Tiruvannamalai highway. What immediately caught my attention was the thoughtful entrance design—it features a wheelchair-accessible ramp, something I haven’t seen in many places. Kudos to them for that! 🫡👏🏻 Since it wasn’t crowded during our visit, the service was prompt and efficient. The pricing is generally reasonable, though I felt the South Indian meal was slightly on the higher side. As for the food, everything we tried was flavorful and satisfying. We ordered bisibele bath, curd rice, veg fried rice, mushroom biryani, baby corn fry, and honey chilli paneer—all of which were delicious. Ample car parking is available, which is a big plus. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a quick...

I heared about Cafe Udupi Ruchi in Sengurichi was good and I had the Same expectation with this one. We went for lunch around 2 pm and it was almost full and we managed to get 2 seats. We ordered South Indian meals and the meal was standard kootu, pooriyal, sambar, rasam and chapathi type. The follow the technique of Non veg hotels where they will make simple poriyal and upsell the side items. Here also the poriyal was very average and tried to sell the starters. Coming to taste the food is below average and the samber is bland and karakozhambu is very bitter, poriyal has no taste and rasam and kootu was good. Over all the meals was below average and I heared some where that this restaurant was owned by famous chef Venkatesh Bhutt and immediate attention on tatse is required if he want to retain his brand name. Parking was spacious. Rest room was OK and ambience is very good.
