Da Mantra Garden Cafe — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

The atmosphere was absolutely magic. We sat in a corner under two different trees- very very beautiful!

The food was also quite good. We had the vegan breakfast (bit oily, but with wedges so crispy, we didn't mind). The hummus ketchup mix was an interesting choice, I wouldn't have thought of it, but it was good. Would have liked to have a slightly larger serving. The pistaccio ice cream was amazing and so was the iced coffee. The banana cake was ok- no sticky toffee topping as advertised, but this wasn't mentioned when we ordered or when we got the dish and we had already started eating. To their credit, they did offer us a jaggery sauce upon bringing the missing toffee to their attention, but still, little disappointing as we would otherwise have ordered the brownie. Similarly, we wanted to have the vegan burger but only upon reconfirming did we find out that the bun wasn't vegan.

So yeah, a couple little disappointments in an otherwise very beautiful and very tasty meal. Slightly better communication between kitchen and wait staff would have made it perfect. Will definitely be coming back...

The place, ambience, staff, pricing, quality and quantity - all were very good.

Reason for 4 star is - One person came to take the order and a different person served. This would not have been an issue except that the order was mixed up. I had ordered for a dessert. After I finished lunch, another person brought a smoothie. When asked, I was told that this is what they thought I had ordered. Clarified and then I was told the dessert which I had asked at the beginning is not there !! And so I asked for a scoop of an ice cream. Got it but was told that it is only half a scoop and not full as it's almost over !!

Even though the staff was courteous through out (technically it was not my fault anyways) was quite surprised as it was not a busy time and very few customers. All the mix up and multiple people...
