Had a worst experience on 01-Jan-21, we a group of 17 members visited with proper booking of tables. The booking was confirmed by Mr.Prabu ( the manager of the branch). I'm really surprised to see such a damager in the name of Manager. He doesn't even have the basic courtesy to accept his mistake. We went to the restaurant around 8 pm and First we ordered for 8 soups, after 30 mins he came saying that the soups are not available. Then he said that they are not able to provide any roti items. Then we were served with 8 Biriyani by around 9 pm which we ordered at 8 PM after a big quarrel with 2 pieces in mutton Biriyani. Then we need to show the plate to him, confirmed and we were provided with more pieces. Finally our family get together ended up with a mess because of the poor organizing capacity of the restaurant. If they had informed that they are not able to accommodate 17 members we would have at least selected other hotels. Their full concentration was with online orders and takeaways. If that is the situation they should close the dine in facility. In this pandemic, a horrible thing is social distancing and the protocols to be followed is wiped out. In the entrance, they have a register and a thermal thermometer but no one is there to enter and monitor it. Totally it was a big mess with THALAPAKATTI NEELAMBUR COIMBATORE BRANCH. If the management is not looking into this, then it may lead to great loss in your business in this competitive world. Anyway all the best and make sure that this situation is not...
Read moreNot worth the price we pay. They are charging for the service, their brand name and interior + exterior but not for the food they serve. Especially do not get chicken 65 biriyani. They created this dish to clear the stock of chicken 65. Chicken biriyani is also not so great. Maybe try mutton biryani. They can also increase quantity a little bit.
Recently I tried to order chicken biriyani and it was around 8:30 pm when I called for an order. But chicken biriyani was over by that time. So I ordered chicken 65 biriyani. First off all I don't like this dish itself as it is just a means to sell off chicken 65.
Rice tasted good. But the chicken 65 is the worst. Felt like a road side one. Nowadays roadside dishes are better than big brands. Hygiene is the reason we visit places like yours.
Even I take way chicken biriyani. Chicken in the biryani is also not up to the mark. Please give some extra pieces.
Coming to mutton biryani, we will just have kuska instead. Charging half a kg mutton price for a biriyani, but we find 2 pieces of bones.
Increase the serving quantity a bid. At least the rice portion, if you don't have the heart to give out some more mutton pieces.
You are in the food industry and service matters. Not sure if Thalapakatti is making profit or not. If the food is like this, it will go bankrupt. I choose Thalapakatti as the last option when I plan to dine out or take away, considering the taste, portion and last price.
Price doesn't matter if taste and portions are...

** 2 stars only for barbeque chicken. Else it would be negative star. *
GOODS:
Very near to the highway.
Do not miss their pepper barbeque chicken. In very few places we can get this kind of mouthwatering taste. It's not specific to this branch though. I am getting the same in almost all TK chain restaurants. Kudos.
Spacious parking availability.
BADS:
Their heroic dish TK biriyani is not giving that fantastic authentic taste. Not sure what has happened with this franchise.. Hello TK, please address this. We went specific for this and its utter disappointment.
In mutton biriyani we all received only 4 tiny pieces. Which is unusual for the amount we are paying for.
So much crowd. But that's not it, there was huge noise, fighting with the suppliers and cooks each other. Entirely collapsing the ambience. Really bad.
Straightway giving bottled water and not even asking our openion in this. Unless we ask specifically to bring normal water, they are not giving it. It's odd. Nowhere seeing in other TK restaurant branches.
Man, what did you served for mutton chukka. Where that tenderness gone from mutton. No taste at all. Entirely waste of our money.
SOME PRO TIP:
Do not goggle your mouth with the wash room water. It's ouch moment. Water taste is really very...
