I recently had the chance to try Gold Star Biryani, and overall it was a delightful experience except the few concerns i ve mentioned below. Menu cards: They don’t provide menu cards unless specifically asked.

Cleanliness & hygiene: The hygiene standards must be improved. The water, tumblers, and plates are not clean, and the servers don’t even wear gloves before serving food (mostly practiced everywhere)

Washrooms could be better.

Food quantity during peak hours: During busy hours, the biryani is served in noticeably lesser quantity compared to other times, which feels unfair.

Payment issues: At the time of billing, instead of allowing payment through the official merchant QR displayed at the counter, staff insist on scanning some random personal GPay QR.

🌟 Food ❤️ left me satisfied and eager to return. The first thing that stood out was the aroma—rich, flavorful, and inviting, it immediately set the mood for a hearty meal. The rice was perfectly cooked, each grain separate and infused with the spices, without being overly oily or greasy. The masala had a wonderful balance of heat and depth, which shows that a lot of thought goes into their spice blend.

The chicken and mutton pieces were tender and well-marinated, blending seamlessly with the rice rather than feeling like an afterthought. Portion sizes were generous, making it good value for money. The service was quick, and the staff was courteous, making the dining experience smooth and pleasant.

That said, I would give it 4 stars instead of 5 because I felt the biryani could use just a touch more richness in terms of garnishing—like caramelized onions. Additionally, while the flavors were excellent, they weren’t entirely unique compared to some other top biryani places I’ve tried.

Still, Gold Star Biryani is a must-visit spot for anyone who enjoys authentic, flavorful biryani at a reasonable price. It hits all the right notes of taste, aroma, and value, and with a few small tweaks, it could easily become a perfect...

We bought lunch ( 2 chicken briyani, 1 pepper chicken fr) on 19th of this month. While entering the portico we noticed a lot of house flies scattered all over dead and few are on last moments of life by jumping and flying all over the open cooking area which is located on right side of entrance . We informed the cashier and a maintenance lady buy both didn't even care for our complaints . What followed was really tragic moments.. as we had pepper chicken first and opened one parcel of briyani and ate it both. Within few minutes we had continued vomiting nearly 3 times.. we thought it's due to our continuing journey.. But later after we reached home and pridely given the 2nd pack to our family.. in few minutes our children screamed out of their lungs on seeing the food..

Hold your breathe.. nearly half a dozen house flies was there and few of them still alive.. Immediately we threw away that pocket and told our children to goggle with hot water..

We realized our vomiting is also due to this flies wrapped in pepper fry..

So those who visit this hotel restaurant should take utmost care..

Unfortunately it was our favorite restaurant whenever we...

A Dindigul-ite's Briyani Bliss at Gold Star! Dindigul briyani scene is legendary, but sometimes a change of scenery and flavor is just what you need. That's what brought me all the way to Gold Star Briyani, and let me tell you, it was worth the trip! The food was absolutely delicious. The briyani was perfectly cooked, with tender meat and fragrant rice. Every bite was a burst of flavor. But what truly elevated my experience was the incredible hospitality. From the moment I called ahead, the owner, Sriram, was incredibly kind and welcoming. He greeted me with a big smile and made me feel right at home. His down-to-earth nature and genuine friendliness were evident in the way he interacted with both staff and customers. It's clear that he cares deeply about creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Gold Star Briyani isn't just serving amazing food, they're serving up a truly heartwarming experience. If you're looking for delicious briyani and genuine hospitality, look no further! This Chennai boy will definitely be back.

Visited here for the first time today and tried Chicken Biryani with my family. The ambiance was just normal as we feel like we are sitting in a large hall with tables in groups. The taste of Biryani is good but we won't feel anything like special while having it. Also it wasn't served hot which is really a down side. The quantity of rice is low as well as there was only 1 medium size chicken piece and no egg was served along with it. So for the price, we felt it was not worth it. Also the gravy served along just lack any taste. The table wasn't maintained hygiene and hence all the area was full of flies which really spoiled the moment. And somehow we finished the dining and when we finally made the payment via Gpay, and was going outside the waiter asked for Tip at the doorstep! 😐 Not the kind of place i wanna visit again though the food quality is good!
