The food was nice but the staff behaviour was the worst. Truthfully worst day of my life. I went along with my date to have a meal there. We had a dosa and some sambar rice. This was ag Noon, we were chatting for ten minutes after eating. A lady from the kitchen came Outta nowhere and screamed 'Saaptu evolo neram Achu - velila ponga' I was shocked and speechless. She continued shouting saying this is not beach or park to sit after you eat. And she turned off the fan and lights where we sat and stormed off. We felt threatened and very negative because of this. I immediately said 'we'll leave' in fact that's the only thing I said. I wanted to fight so badly but it would be very bad for the girl. My blood boils even now when I think of this, the restaurant was not even crowded. I told my friends about this and even my lawer Anna. She was at grave fault. I forgive her but I would never visit this place or would want anyone to go through this. I hope peace finds her and she learns how to communicate...
Read moreWalked in to order a single Rava Masala Dosa as take away. Placed the order and waited right in front of the counter. Half an hour later one of the guys taking orders asks me if I had placed my order. I confirmed and told him I had ordered a Rava Masala. All this while I noticed them either giving other people their orders or they themselves eating or talking at the back. 10 minutes after this the person who had taken my order asked me what I'm waiting for and for my bill as proof that I actually placed the order I had just mentioned. They then proceeded to make the Dosa in 2 minutes.
I can't talk about the actual quality of the food because it was for someone else. Price is nominal (72 inc. GST for 1 Rava Masala Dosai). You can probably get better food and service at half the cost at a...
Read moreI visited Hot Chips Veg Restaurant in Pallavaram today with my friend. The experience was very disappointing. We only ordered a coffee, a samosa and two vadas. The prices were extremely high - coffee was ₹50-60, each vada was around ₹35-38, and samosa was ₹38. These prices are unreasonable compared to even bigger restaurants.
Despite being a small restaurant, they only offer self-service and the quality doesn't justify the high prices. The restroom facilities were in terrible condition. There's no AC, poor customer service, and absolutely no value for money. Many customers seem to be getting deceived. I would not...
