Late review but 🤷

Burma kadai, once upon a time, was our default pitstop. Their parotta and mutton varieties were top notch 👌 But all of a sudden their old charm was lost, food quality went too bad few years before and we started to skip them and almost forgot their presence. Yet opinions are meant to change right?

We had lunch on New year day 2022 with much reluctance. Dindigul thalappakatti biryani went sold out and we headed towards our old spot. Ambience totally changed since our last visit. We were greeted well. By the time we went, briyanis were sold out so we went for non veg meals. I ordered mutton meals, brother ordered ayira meen meals and our uncle chose normal fish meals. All three of them were tasted good, ayira meen was top notch, quantity was succulent enough for two persons. Mutton curry had two big nalli bones, masala went well with hot meals.. Ordered fish fry, mutton chukka and mutton kola for sides.. fish fry was average, mutton chukka tasted really good. Overall it costs around 1300 for three..

This kind of improvement is what I expected from Burma Kadai 👍 Last time when I had my mutton chukka from here, it tasted blend and too much oily. Kindly maintain the same...

Ok, first off, the food sucks here. Absolutely not worth the hype. I remember eating here, years before, when this was a smaller establishment. The taste then was fantastic. Now it has taken a turn for the pathetic. We ordered, a veg meals, some wheat parotas, mutton kothu kari and chicken varutha kari. The only satisfying thing, that met expectation was the veg meals. Everything else fell short. The chicken didn't feel like roasted and then made into a curry (as the name suggested), the mutton kothu was more like rasam rather than a curry. Then the wheat parotta, the size of a coin parotta for 35rs each. Finally the deceptive practice of handling out kola urundai, without telling the price of it and charging 40 bucks for each. Even though it tasted good, the description in their service certainly left a bad taste. After spending more than 1000rs for 3 people, I'm left with the compelling need to give a nasty review, so that no one else falls for the hype that is burma kadai. Absolutely not worth it. Be it the taste or value for the money, it's a no go. Just stay clear of this place. Your tongue and wallet...

Very worst people, only money minded. Today we r order non veg meals. But there is no nonveg meal. U need to order veg meal and u need to order non veg side dishes. That means they will charge you for veg meals and also u need to pay non veg items seperately. Thay will sell u veg meals without ur intrest. So we order two biriyani, the quantity of biriyani is very less, half of the boul only given. I never seen like less quantity in any other restaurants. I asked them, y this much less quantity.they said this is the hotel rules. Then we are asking for extra rice, thay said u need to buy half meals. We asked them to give half meals, we both share. Thay refused each person should take half. I asked to the cashier, what is this? He said this is our policy. I told them very nice policy. Keep it up.

Totally very crucial money minded worst people running this restaurant.

Food business is one of the good service to the people. Every body feel very less quantity. Due to the marketting this restaurant running. Please avoid...

Perseverance, talent, taste, quality, all these are what make a food company grow.i think Burma hotel has the same roots..We have eaten at the Aruppukkottai road junction many times. Yesterday we went to hotel Burma on Madurai-Tirunelveli bypass road for a change. Treated well. Food was also served. But it was hot and not tasty. The price is very high, but the taste is not as good as we expect. I think 'burma hotel creating his own brand... Having reached that stage or whatever, there is no quality nowadays...Being on a 4way highway lane road,No need for a permanent valuable customer's .. a feeling that the people who cross that road every day thought they had enough to eat. Quality and taste are key to a good restaurant. Attention to the price.. It is not important at the same time . The quality and taste of the food is very essential.. So burma kadai needs some effort or attention to the food quality and taste.🙏🏻 feeling disappointed with burma kadai, by pass branch, virudhunagar.

Burma kadai is a famous restaurant for decades and I have stopped for food several times before. I came today after a long gap and was a bit disappointed with the menu options. I've come here for traditional dishes like parotta, chukka and similar items. But the bearer tells more about tandoor dishes, grilled chicken and Chinese chicken dishes. I asked for poricha parotta with mutton chukka for which they were famous for. But was disappointed with the taste. Chukka was nothing special and even newer, smaller places serve great chukkas. A lady came asking if I want mutton kola urundai and I asked for two, but it was so bland and tasteless I had to struggle to finish it. And to my surprise most of the upmarket crowd was ordering grill and Chinese dishes. The place is now more spacious with more seating and more smaller dining rooms. But with a very average taste, what's the use of a great atmosphere. Disappointed.
