Hotel Burma Kadai (Pure Veg Restaurant) — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

By oct 7 2022 we travelled from thanjavur to to native tirunelveli along with my family I suggested my family members that we can have a good delicious nonveg at this highway BURMA kadai by rejecting so many standard nonveg hotels at madurai.. We took u turn and reached this hotel by a huge expectations of having nonveg.. When we entered hotel the ambiance was good with so many seats vacant... We washed our hands a waiting for order.. A staff came with pleasing to take order we started with so nonveg items.. The face of the staff went meaning less he pleased with his low voice by saying that this particular BURMA kadai has changed as pure veg... Our total expectations was rejected by this hotel management... This hotel do not have a board as pure veg... But now I came to know that they had kept a glow board as pure veg.... It may be your business that you can alter according to your needs but it's your business to inform public regarding this.. How come a 50 yrs plus old BURMA kadai shop which is known for its nonveg trade mark is suddenly transferred as pure veg.....

Worst ever experience. What you pay and what you get will be extremely unsatisfying. Extremely high priced for the quality and quantity they provide.

There will be no menu card (they avoid it purposefully) so that you will not move out on seeing their pricing.

I visited on 1-Feb-21 and I lost my bill so unable to upload. My bill was 1000 and what I ordered are below,

Mutton Kothu Parotta - 250 (quantity was much less than a normal parotta stall which gives you more quantity for 150) Mutton Dosai - 225 (its just an regular small dosa with an egg and 4 small chunks of mutton pieces here and there) Mutton Parotta - 190 (2 parotta with their gravy and again 4-5 chunks of mutton) Rest all was their regular parotta (2 pieces) with gravy which was Rs.80 each plate and a chicken lollypop for Rs.150 (I am fine with this two)

It will be good atleast if they give you quantity for what you pay.

End of the day its not a 3 start hotel to charge this high.

IT'S JUST A HIGH PRICED HIGHWAY MOTEL WITH NO CLEAN HANDWASH OR TOILET AREAS. SO BETTER...

Since there is no option for a minus star I'm giving it a rate of one star...if u the owners r reading it,please do something about the pathetic state of affairs there since u have invested soooo much into that place...in all my life I haven't eaten a worse food nor have I witnessed such pathetic service....the hygiene was horrible with dead lizards at the very entry...waste plates were dumped enroute to the washbasin.I am truly surprised at some of the good reviews...because not even a beggar would give a rating to this place...I'm coming down strongly on this hotel because this is NOT the way a person who pays that is a consumer gets to b treated...I urge the owners and the managers of this hotel built so beautifully and in such a good location to take note of this and do something about it..although the bathrooms are built well ,the hindware were not maintained but the bathrooms were well washed which was the ONNNNNLY plus of this remains...
