Hotel Jayalakshmi — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I generally never post reviews. But this is worth mentioning. Normally this hotel would not be easily visible unless you know where it is. Our driver knew this hotel and he took us there. There is a huge car parking location behind the hotel with direct access to dining area and also the restrooms are clean. So for long distance travellers it a good place for a quick stop albeit with a little detour from the highway.

Coming to the food. The service was quick, portion size was ideal, taste was really good. Its very rare to get such good tasting food nowadays(I travel regularly and so I depend on hotels for survival, and a good taste with no effects on the stomach just hit the spot for me)

The most important point worth mentioning is the attitude of staff in which this hotel wins. Most hotels have a grumpy looking staff approaching with a serious soldier like face and take your orders. But here the staff were cheerful, friendly and are proactive in checking on you in case you require additional side dishes and wait patiently for your order, they also recommend suitable dishes. I visited twice, once in the morning and again in afternoon. One of the staff recognised me from my morning visit and enquired regarding the same.

Price wise, i would say for the taste, quantity and location, it is worth it.

Their big plus is the customer service, I am amazed how the staff keep up the homogeneous good spirit and service quality all the time and how all staff uniformly maintain that(people in the area of customer service will know what I am talking about, either the staff were perfectly recruited or their training was good). This requires a special mentioning.

Great space for car parking Food and price are both decent. Since it's pure veg and a bit tidy expect more crowd at holidays so the order might be but delayed. They do have a A/C room too.

All experiences are subjective I believe the food could have been a bit spicy and salty. Quality of the food is good though.

We tried following,

Mushroom and Veg Briyani - Fair but quantity seems less for single male. Panneer Butter Masala - a bit on the fence, don't opt. Chola Puri, Bonda, Chapati and Ravi Dosa are good.

They have Kwality Ice Cream and Thirumala brand too. Carbonated beverages like coca-cola, thumbs up, sprite, maaza and limca where available during our visit.

Found many families with their kids nourishing themselves.

How can a hotel be this good. Be it taste, cleanliness, staff, price this hotel wins my heart. Dont judge a book by its cover. Its near redhills bus stand. One has to take left on to redhills road when coming from puzhal. You can see puzhal dam on the left side and thats your mark. One has to take right when coming from chozhavaram and padiyanallur on to redhills at revathy stores roundana. Its great for a family dineout. Ac dine in available. Huge car parking available....
