Review: A Masala Dosa Heaven… Trapped in a Town Bus Vibe
Let’s start with what deserves the praise — the Masala Dosas and Sambar here are truly iconic. Crispy, flavorful, and nostalgic, they live up to their reputation. If you're a dosa lover, this place won't disappoint your taste buds. The sambar? Rich, tangy, and just the right kick — absolutely deserving of the fame.
Now to the bitter side of the chutney: the service and ambience.
To say the service was underwhelming is putting it mildly. Imagine walking into an AC restaurant, hoping for a calm, sit-down meal… only to realize there’s just ONE poor waiter — Sridhar — running around like he’s in an Olympic relay. One man, taking orders from an entire hall of hungry customers? It’s unfair to him, and honestly, to us too.
What’s worse, the ambience felt like a town bus at peak hour — overcrowded, noisy, echoing with chaos, and absolutely no sense of calm. You’d think the AC hall would offer some relief, but with the noise bouncing off the walls and zero crowd control, it was more likely to trigger claustrophobia than comfort.
In short, while the kitchen knows what it’s doing, the management seriously needs to wake up, hire more staff, and rethink the dining experience. People come for the food — but they’ll stay away if the service and atmosphere feel like a local transport experience.
Verdict: Come for the dosa. Don’t...

Now after 10 years later the hotel has gained superb spotlight it is by far the best or equal to Harish hotel in and arround thirumangalam.
Today I went to have Dosa made with less oil Poori , like mini ones but very less oil Sambhar Vada... Greatly tasting Badam milk. Served in a star buck like cup with a straw.
Me and parents went there won't say this is a cheap restaurant as my breakfast bill was arround 820rs. But that is no matter for the service and quality of food.
The restaurant is near a toll gate. Lot of travellers come by , there is a small fish tank near the entrance lots of people are coming. The service of the staff is great ,it is like even the table cleaning staff are well organised and professional.
Overall all a good restuarant.

When asked the manager was rude saying when there is no water wat is the need for handwash , request completely ignored.
Are you guys so bankrupt that u charge rs. 60 for a pongal and still can't provide a proper handwash to ur costumers.
They survive with the name earned for the good work done earlier. No more the restaurant they used to be.
Service , multiple requests for chutney and sambar, u end up looking at frowning faces. The small bowl of sambar is filled with shallots topped with a few table spoons sambar..
idli and pongal was quite ordinary.
Vada was a disaster with so much oil. My kid ended up vomiting after the breakfast.
Poori was the best .
Hope you guys understand the basics , before a large set of people choose to ignore you with chains of restaurants coming up along...
