Hotel Ganesh Bhavan in Kumbakonam is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine. Known especially for its famous filter coffee, this restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, each bursting with flavor. I had the chance to try several items, including crispy dosas, rava dosas, idlis, poori, appam and vadai, along with delicious appetizers like chilly mushroom and gobi Manchurian. Every dish was prepared with care and tasted fresh and satisfying.

The food is not only delicious but also served quickly, making it an ideal place to visit after a day of shopping. The service is efficient, and the staff is friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Whether you're stopping in for a quick snack or a full meal, Hotel Ganesh Bhavan offers a reliable and enjoyable dining experience, with each visit guaranteed to leave you satisfied. It's a perfect place to enjoy a traditional South Indian meal in a comfortable setting.

One minor drawback is the lack of dedicated parking space, so you'll need to park on the street in front of the hotel.

Ganesh Bhavan in Kumbakonam is a gem for vegetarian food enthusiasts. They kickstart the day with a delightful breakfast, featuring soft "malligai poo" idly served with sambar and four types of chutney. Their ghee pongal paired with madhu vadai is a must-try, as is their excellent dosai, followed by a refreshing filter coffee.

What's great is that you can continue your temple visits, knowing you have a fantastic dinner awaiting you at the same hotel. Their idiyappam with coconut milk is an awesome choice, and their raga dosai and malligai poo idly are equally excellent options. All of this comes at a reasonable price, and the availability of car parking is a plus.

For anyone visiting Kumbakonam and craving delicious vegetarian fare, Ganesh Bhavan is a must-visit spot that's sure to leave...

Very Very bad. We are new to Kumbakonam and want to explore this place. It is good as far as we have seen. Today we ordered 1 set of parotta( which is 2 parotttas ), curd rice and sambar rice. They gave only 1 parottta, curd rice with very very very little pickle which was not sufficient and sambar rice. We are greatly disappointed by this. We we called them they are insisting that we bought only one parottta and are not speaking politely with us and taking steps to solve this. The person who was speaking arrogantly with us is asking "Shall I send the parotttta with your next order?" How is this possible???. We asked " I want to eat now and you are telling me that you will send next time". Not happy with the way she spoke with us. Really sorry to say, It was not what we expected from...
