Hotel Sri Muruga Bhavan — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Food is ok, rate wise I feel they are charging reasonable but they't don't provide details of item consumed and proper bill for any customers(the bill which the restaurant gave does not have any TIN number or GST number which is a very important thing for the restaurant to print in their bill receipt which they give to their customers) .

As per Govt of India rule currently bill is becoming much important aspect in India for any kind of sales from a hotel or restaurant.

We were charged twice for the food item which we consumed, fortunately one of our family member has noticed the same and asked for a summary of item consumed and the charges for the food consumed. The hotalier/cashier( the old person was wearing white shirt and dothi) who was sitting on the front table was mentioning that he did not notice the fact that he was charging the customer twice.

What a cool answer the hotelier/cashier gave , we were just shocked, he assumed that everyone who come and eat basically when they are in a long travel along with the family, won't be noticing the bill precisely. Hence he himself clearly told this fact from his discussion with us,when we asked why did you charged twice for our food.

Hotel Sri Muruga Bavan -

Located in Thoppur, between Thoppur to bommidi road. As this is little detour from highway not many people know the place. Just 250 meters from the main road. Worth the detour.

There is no private parking facility. It's just street parking. it's easy to find parking space on streets.

Those who want to try out new places other than A2B, Saravana Bhavans, can try out here. Small place, homely taste and budget friendly.

It's a Non A/c Small Restaurant and offers very tasty vegetarian food. The taste is good, service was good. A homely ambiance on the negative side not good rest rooms.

I would recommend - butter ghee roast parota with kurma / Poori masala / onion uttapam and Pongal.

I personally have no count on my visit, so many times - I have visited - still the same old taste.

Must try if passing...

South Indian dishes with very good taste near the highway.

Usually when u find a good taste in the highway hotels, u will have health issues due to Soda or other flavours which they add in the food to get the taste.

But here I had 2 Idlys' and One Podi Dosa with 3 types of Chatni and Sambar and no health issues. Here, I have tried 2 times to check the quality but felt good and worth paying for it.

Cost is bit high compare to other local hotels but worth paying here instead of paying in hotels like A2B, Saravana Bavan, Annapurna, etc., (with GST) for a single coffee/tea.
