Restaurant Review: Jain Bhavan

I recently visited Jain Bhavan, intrigued by its reputation for Jain cuisine. However, I was quite surprised to find that despite the name, many dishes contained a significant amount of garlic. This was disappointing, especially for those specifically seeking Jain food that adheres to traditional dietary restrictions.

Aside from this, the food was decent, though it didn't quite stand out. The flavors were good but not exceptional. It felt like the dishes were just missing that extra touch to make them truly memorable.

We visited Vasantha bhavan while traveling in NH77. It's one of the few good restaurants available on the road after a long stretch. There is ample parking available. We found a table easily but the restaurant was almost full. It was difficult to get the waiter's attention but once order was taken food was served quickly. The give a good supply of chutney and sambar along so that you can take as you need. But we found it difficult to order additional items as waiter was not seen around most of the time. We tried paper dosa, vada and Pongal . All dishes were tasty. The pricing is decent. The washrooms were okay but more frequent cleaning would be...

Had breakfast here on the way to Pondicherry. Food was ok. Idly was too difficult to eat. It was easy to get Coffee. But for tea, we had to wait for 20.minutes and then cancel the order. Poori Masala was fine. Staff is too busy, and getting their attention was difficult. They served fast, but then the follow up was not great. It could do more with the lack of coordination. The restroom is outside and only an Indian commode is available. Enough parking space and a person to manage the parking. But he finds it difficult to manage the...
