This is a food Oasis! Scenic location, pleasant interiors and relaxing environment. Food at its best. The showstopper is their Pizzas - Thin crust pizzas baked to perfection. You can customize your own pizza. My favourite is Veg Supreme Pizza loaded with an all-imported, all-star line-up of Olives, Jalapenos, Green peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, Broccoli and cheese on a tomato base. Their Chicken and Sea Food pizzas are also great! The Pastas are amazingly delicious. Starters - French fries in here are the best that I have had in India. Crisp, Golden yellow and fried to perfection. Their KFC style deep fried mushrooms is a classic option if you are a Vegetarian. For non-veg lovers, you must try their grilled Basha fish from Maldives and their fusion Deepfried-smoked chicken starters. Veg Sandwich is simple and minimalistic - ideal for those who are on a low fat or vegan diet. Add fresh lettuce. To quench your thirst they have seasonal fruit juices, flavoured Mojitos and milk shakes that are really good (especially Coffee Brasilia). They have limited but nice range of ice creams. If you are with kids, then they have a dedicated game centre with video games (X-box) that I suppose most kids will enjoy. They also serve Biriyani, Chappati and a range of specialty gravies to meet the demands from Indian cuisine lovers. There is something for everyone. Location - it is located conveniently on the road that leads to Munnar Kerala from Udumalpet, with ample parking space. So an ideal pit stop to refuel your mind and soul or just to relax in the warm evening breeze of rural tropical sunset. A must visit !

Fusion of our grandma’s spices with Gordon Ramsay standard continental delicacies!!!! While my meal had other dishes as well, I’m going to sing praises on only one dish and it is named GRILLED FISH. Imagine tearing a small pinch of sugar candy, taking it to your drooling tongue and experience it melt away in seconds. This is exactly what I experienced while having their grilled fish, except that the sweetness of sugar candy was replaced with mild spicy herbal spices. The exact spice you experience when your grand ma cooks fish curry for you. The goodness doesn’t stop here. The dish is served along with a small portion of grilled rice which accompanies the fish like the cool weather that accompanies Udumalpet. What’s stopping you from having this once in a lifetime dish.

Very scrumptious variety of food, quality , cleanliness and above all friendly and very courteous staff. Any restaurant needs to get 2 things very right, good food and humble staff, kick grass gets 10/10 on both the aspects. Ambience too is very good, very much on road to Munnar/Thirumoorthi dam, both outdoor and indoor tables available. We tried French fries, white cheese pasta, noodles, butter naan, Kadai chicken, Drums of heaven, thalluvandi chicken, ice-cream and mojitos. All were good met our expectations. Family and kids friendly place. Pasta was the best pick from the lot. On par with restaurants in big metro cities. Very much looking forward to get back, highly recommended. Kick-Grass keep kicking your best always. Kudos to your staff.

It was a weekend with a friend's family visitng. Everyone was hungry after a short picnic and based on our previous good experience, decided to hit Kick Grass for lunch. Parking was available and though crowded we were able to find a place for all of us (which is nice in a small town - you don't easily get big table for 2 families to sit down - here they are available in plenty). Right at the entrance they have a board on their practices - to name a few - no ajinomoto, dalda, fresh ingredients used so you can be assured. The attendant told us the kitchen staff are only few in number and wait time may be more. We modified our order to mostly what is available readily or what can be made easily ( Briyanis and Fried Rice). Food was really good, Rates are not increased a lot which are good but this is what was not good - 1. The order taking gadget was available with only 2 people. A 3rd person without gadget will come take the order (I guess to reassure we weren't forgotten) only for another person with gadget to come in 5 mins and take the order again 2. We gave them sufficient time to make the food but when the food started coming, we had to repeat the order again as many of what we ordered were totally missed.

Now they say starting a venture is easy but scalining and sustaining is not. You guys saw through the difficult COVID times and the fortunes are turning now. Please do revisit your weekend staffing strategy and am sure you will be shining star as the taste and rates are very attractive to pull people to your place.

Response to the owner: thank you so much and happy to see you taking the feedback as an opportunity. I missed mentioning your quality board placed at the entrance - I have added it to my comments now. I did not click a pic of it unfortunately and could not find in pics available. If you can please post it would be a nice attraction to your place. My daughter loves your place more than us so we will be back as soon as in town. Wishing all the...

We went to Kick Grass on our way back from Munnar after reading all the reviews. The restaurant itself was clean and cheerful and the food was good. Pro

  1. On the highway, easy to find
  2. Tables clean and ambience cheerful

Cons

  1. There was very little interest in serving us as there were a group of foreigners
  2. Ordered items were mixed up
  3. Takes a really long time to even take the order
  4. Finally when I lost patience and went to see what was happening, the whole restaurant staff was busy taking selfies with the foreigners
  5. Restrooms not clean and no water in the flush.

Would like to edit the review based on response from the restaurant management.

  1. Not sure what gave you the idea that I would have liked a photo opportunity with your team. I have no issues with what your team does, but would like orders taken, if something is not available told to me promptly.
  2. The 48 mins that you are talking about was because I cancelled the rest of the order since I could not find any progress on it. Each time to make a request or check on the progress I had to go out to the open area where they were busy with another table. I dont know about how you serve in your restaurants, but having travelled a fair bit, 3-4 waiters on a single table seems an overkill to me.
  3. Did not quite understand your comments on the rest rooms. Are you saying that your customers are responsible for the mess and that the management has no role in keeping their establishment clean and in a way that customers can make use of it. After reading your comment, the first impression I got was that I was somehow responsible for the mess that was your rest-room.

Anyway hope things work out with you. But rest assured, I will be giving your...
