Moongil Thottam Veg Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

We were coming from Yercaud & Around 3.45 pm we reached here. Before that we hadn’t found any good hotels , this I found in google with lot of good reviews. We dint expect to get lunch as it was little late . But they had meals . Even at that time there were people having lunch. Iam keralite & normally I dont eat meals lunch from hotels as I dont like the taste here in TN. As they had only meals we ordered. A large steel plate with banana leaf and many side dishes including Sambar came along with big Papad. Then they served rice & when I started eat I really felt it best . Truly I haven’t eaten such a lunch meals from TN . The ladies finger curry was best then moru (curd) everything filled my stomach as well as mind . Special tasty Vada & payasam was added delight . I really became a fan of their meals . There was an Old gentleman who said us to eat well and served more rice & curry . 150rs is the charge & serves unlimited with a drinking water bottle. Happy to find this place & have saved for future . The atmosphere is great there , perfect for photography. Almost all were capturing videos and pics after food . Their cow farm is nearby . Parking can be done in front lot of space available on roadside . Satisfaction is guaranteed with food taste & staff behaviour as well...

If visiting Muthumalai Murugan temple, this is the closest veg restaurant, especially in the direction towards Chennai.

Was here for lunch, although it was not a lavish one, it was simple and good. Cost of lunch was 150, including a water bottle. Point to note that it’s not an air-conditioned restaurant, with very simple seating arrangements under Bamboo Huts. If want to have a natural and simple lunch, then this is the place. Highlight was ‘Bottle Gourd’ Chutney, have not got to taste this anywhere else till now!

They have a beautiful and small level farm on their backyard, from where they source diary products for this restaurant. They have sourced their cows from Rajasthan. They allow restaurant guests to enter into this farm, which might give a good experience for families with kids.

Their washing area is also cleanly maintained and the only reason for four stars is some of their table cleaning staff behaved unhygienic, which was little disgusting. Restaurant needs to educate their staff on this, otherwise guests...

This restaurant was a surprise pick for us on the way to Chidambaram. We left Bangalore in the morning and because of holiday all the restaurant on the way were overcrowded and we had to skip our breakfast hence we were looking for good meal for lunch and I just googled it on our way. There were not many options in the restaurant but a good full meal. The good part in the restaurant is the staff explains each and every item available in the meal. We had an awesome meal and we could feel it as homely meal without any preservatives the location as well is awesome with some mini farm around it. It is one of the must...
