Nallammal Gramiya Virunthu — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

We visited the place on a Sunday with Family. The overall experience was not a happy one. I chose the one for Lunch although I received average reviews only and it was not proved wrong.

Seating: Average The restaurant has both outside and inside seating. The outside seating is open and tables are concrete bench type seats and that great comfort to sit and eat.

Wait time: Too high We had to wait for a family table for nearly 20-25 minutes.

Ambience: The ambience is like a rip off version village side look. You can exact ducks, hens, and Cows nearby to the dining tables and occasionally pooping around. The fog system to keep the place cool leaks water than creating a fog effect. they were not turned off even after complaining that water was leaking on the dining. Thumbs down for that.

Service Agree or not the service is poor. Very few people to handle the crowd, orders and the tables. We had to repeatedly remind them for orders placed.

Food Quality: The food quantity is ok but there is nothing special to mention like must try or must haves in the place. I have had better Briyani's and non veg starters& sides in nearby places like Dindigul, Tirupur and Kangeyam even at smaller hotels.

My thoughts: The management needs to seriously revamp the overall functioning of the restaurant for the crowd that they are receiving. But for now, If you find other options for Non-veg hotels please choose them rather then come here and be disappointed. The only good thing was that it has a play area for kids....

Myself and my frnd were on a official trip near karur and we decided to return back via Dharapuram last Sunday and some people suggested Nallammal Gramathu virundhu restaurant. So, we decided to reach there for lunch but finally we reached there by 3.30 p.m.

The restaurant is located @ Dharapuram - Oddanchathiram Highway with ample parking space. To my surprise it was crowded even by 3.30 p.m. for lunch and it took us 10mins to find a seat for us. The waiter said, Meals got over and we have all other items available.

We ordered, ✓ Chicken Biriyani ✓ Nathukozhi vaazha ezhai Parotta ✓ Nethili fry ✓ Chicken 555 ✓ Nallammal special chicken

The waiter said Vaazha ezhai Parotta will take some time and at the same time he gave us 3 plates of sample dishes to try "Naatukozhi fry, Mutton kothu & Chicken Chukka.. We never expected it 🤩😻 All 3 items were awesome...

Coming to chicken biriyani, it was average and we left some biriyani in the bowl.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nallammal special chicken & chicken 555 tasted almost the same no much difference but tasted good 😋

Vaazha ezhai Parotta, was too spicy and it had hardly 3-4 Naatukozhi pieces and it was priced around ₹225/- which I felt very expensive.

Overall a good experience and it's a best place to visit with family along with kids as they have kids play area and the village ambience will be a different experience...

Highly satisfying meal! We a family of 9 were travelling past Dindigul to Coimbatore ,when we looked for decent restaurants to dine in for lunch. The name Nallammal Gramiya Virundhu caught our attention but on looking at google reviews, there were negative reviews stating food wasn't good or worth the price. We decided to give a try anyway. Those negative reviews forced me to write this essay. Our orders include Mutton, Chicken Biriyanis, Mutton Muttai Fry, Naatukozhi Chukka, Naatukozhi Vaazhai Ezhai Parotta, Kaadai Tandoori, Fish Chilli, Green Apple, Blue, Orange Mojitos. Each food we tasted were deadly and delicious except Fish Chilli which was quite average. We were served complimentary Rasam called 'Pachapuli Rasam' - Veri Max taste 🔥 If you have any travel plans from Madurai to Coimbatore, I reckon you stop here than highly overrated Apoorva.

Positives: Taste obviously. Ambience ( Open space restaurant) Kids Park. Complimentary food. ( Pachapuli Rasam, More, White Rice, Betel nuts and leaves)

Negatives: Couldnt find any. If i must say, then food is priced on higher range which i find quite reasonable considering taste and the kind of ambience the restaurant offers.
