Discovering a restaurant on the Highway: A South Indian Vegetarian Haven Nestled by the national highway bypass, en route to Dindivanam, lies a hidden gem that promises a delightful culinary journey through the flavors of South India. This restaurant, a haven for vegetarian food lovers, offers an authentic taste experience that is both tantalizing and soul-satisfying. As you step into the restaurant, you are greeted by an ambiance that exudes warmth and tranquility. The nature-filled surroundings provide a serene backdrop, perfect for a peaceful dining experience. The play area is a thoughtful addition, ensuring that families can enjoy a relaxed meal while the little ones are entertained. The menu is a testament to the rich culinary heritage of South India, featuring a variety of dishes that are both traditional and innovative. Each dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients, bringing out the vibrant flavors that South Indian cuisine is renowned for. From the crispy dosas to the flavorful sambhar, every item on the menu is crafted to perfection. What sets this restaurant apart is not just the quality of the food but also the value for money it offers. With generous portions and reasonable prices, it's a place that invites you to indulge without a second thought about the bill. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it's an experience that captivates your senses and leaves you with memories of a meal well enjoyed. If you find yourself on the highway towards Dindivanam, do not miss the chance to visit this South Indian vegetarian oasis. It's an experience that is truly worth every penny. Kind of McD concept tried and failing, with lowest and worst operating standards. Visited at 19 May 2024 - 21:14 hours. 1. Rude and zero knowledge as host - was the person manning counter. 2. After placing and Paying the order, we waited for nearly 16 minutes when first of (three Dosas which we ordered) reached our table. 3. Food out of kitchen was delaying and only one server could be seen delivering food at table. 4. Though token to denote and display table number was placed on table, still by calling out the dish name - that single server was asking which guest has ordered that dish 5. In dining hall the hand wash-basin kept unclean and dirty 6. No paper tissues could be seen at the dispenser 7. Food taste was below average and less options 8. Not worth for money and experience As frequent traveller have experienced dining within that 2 KM radius, definitely Better options are available Wouldn’t visit again / recommend to Pros Road side kerb parking Wash rooms were ok Dining hall seating and AC was good Kids would like their arena in dining corner

I planned to visit this hotel multiple times whenever I got a chance to drive through Chennai to Madurai. Today only I got a chance. I was thinking that the eatery locations will be large in size and will be overcrowded by looking at the cars parked in front of their hotel. But the real scenario is completely different, it is SELF SERVICE only and the dine-in area remembering my office times, where we get the food and looking for available table :). Personally I don't like this set up during my travels. Apart from that, food is OK. I had Poori and a cup of coffee. Poori - 70 rs - 2 pcs - Phototo masala and coconut chutney. Poori was a somewhat MAIDA kind of feel (rubbery) - OK Coffee - a medium size cup, 35 rs, 2 sugar packets and a wooden stick. We need to mix the sugar by using the wooden stick (for a filter coffee I hate this procedure). - Average Parking space - enough space for both cars & bikes Restrooms - Need improvement in the maintenance. Ambience is good and attractive.

Oorvasi Veg Restaurant & Cafe Lounge: Where Flavor Meets Tranquility Nestled along the Trichy-Chennai Highway in the quaint town of Tindivanam, Oorvasi Veg Restaurant & Cafe Lounge is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. As I stepped inside, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the promise of delectable vegetarian fare enveloped me.

Breakfast Bliss: The mornings at Oorvasi are a symphony of flavors. The ghee dosa is a must-try—crispy, golden, and generously smeared with fragrant ghee. Pair it with their aromatic filter coffee, and you’ll find yourself transported to a culinary haven.

Clean restrooms, self-service convenience, and a serene lawn make it an ideal stop for weary travelers on a long drive. I wish to give zero star but to straight to the point, dont ever step foot inside this hotel. Food is bad and quantity sucks. Worst ever service.

What a great menu for North Indian combo. Yes they gave naan and chapati but that’s about it. They were so hard and cold that I couldn’t even bite it. Next you have spring roll that felt like taken out of a freezer and that’s Chinese or whatever but not North Indian. There was Dal which was okay and a subzi that was again cold and tasteless. No pulao no raita nothing. Instead they gave a huge portion of curd rice. Yes that’s very North Indian and lesser said about the taste the better. They charged 180₹ for this.

Then there was bisebelle bath. Wonder if they even know what bisebelle bath is. It’s just a bland sambar rice with no sides except few non crispy Vadams. Another failure.

Finally the South Indian meals. They charged around 150₹ for very small portion of each of the items. Requested for a refill of sambar and porial multiple times but nobody cared. Had to fight with them to even make them listen. When you pay upfront that’s it. Don’t expect any sort of service or hospitality. Don’t fool the customers. Again as I said in first line, don’t even think about stepping...
