Ranjirams Rooftop Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I visited this restaurant yesterday, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The place itself is open and decent, but the food quality was extremely poor.

We ordered Cauliflower Manchurian and Chicken Manchurian, but both were terrible. The portion size was very small (only about 12-15 pieces), and the preparation was unacceptable—just boiled with cornstarch water, lacking flavor and proper seasoning. The Kadai Veg dish had the same cornstarch base with added color and a few vegetables, mainly cauliflower, making it taste no different from the Manchurian.

The soup was another letdown. It was served in a large bowl like THIRUVODU, at the time we suppose to realize and come out the place,but no way.. it was barely 15% filled—only about 8-10 sips worth.

Moving on to noodles and rice, they were so poorly made that it was difficult to even describe their taste. The only saving grace was the naan, which was okay. we were highly disappointed.

To make things worse, when we received the bill, we noticed they had charged for two extra soups, but we only realized it after seeing the bill in my home The quality of food was not at all worth the price.

I even suggested to the staff that they should focus on improving their food rather than just the atmosphere. This experience spoiled our weekend mood, and I strongly recommend checking reviews before visiting. Lesson learned!

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Never Going Back

My visit to this restaurant was extremely disappointing. I felt suffocated the entire time inside the hall. There was only one small AC for the whole room, which was not nearly enough. The tables were arranged at the corners, making it feel very congested. It was so hot that I moved the table towards the center just to get some airflow. Immediately, a staff member approached us and started arguing and questioning why we moved the table. We explained that it was too congested and we were feeling hot, but they simply said that the AC was already at its highest setting.

Food Quality: We ordered naan, noodles, and chicken gravy. The naan was undercooked and completely white, which was really unappetizing. The chicken gravy lacked basic seasoning – there was absolutely no salt. For the price, the food quality was far below expectations.

Service: After the food was served, the waiter never came back to check on us or see if we needed anything else. We had to request ketchup after the noodles were served, and it was brought to us very late. Worse, the ketchup bottle was covered in sand, which was disgusting.

The staff seemed completely inattentive and disengaged throughout the visit. We were so uncomfortable and dissatisfied that we left most of the food untouched and left the place as soon as we could. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I wouldn’t recommended any one...

I would love to write about this restaurant because of the following things. First their service was excellent. I was there on a rainy night and I was not able to walk to their AC hall because of an injury. They were so kind to provide a covered place very close to the entrance and served everything there. I have to thank Mr. Nandhakumar who took care and made the arrangements. Next coming to the variety and availability they had a wide range starting from north indian chats, thattu vada set, sandwich, Chinese, South Indian ,North Indian etc., In most of the restaurants they will not serve everything on the menu card. They will say over or not available today. But here everything was available even that late night including the chats that's commitment I appreciate the restaurant specially for this. Finally about the taste which I care about the most, we ordered Butter Garlic naan, gravy, Idli, thattu vada set, Japan chicken, as per Nanadhakumar's recommendation tandoori chicken. Japan paneer. Everything was wonderfully tasty. Not even a point complaint. The paneer served was so soft 99% of the restaurants don't serve such a soft paneer, extraordinary work.
