We were travelling to Pondicherry to Bangalore and while we were looking for a place to pacify our hunger and get appetite for our Breakfast, we accidentally ended up at this place. It is an AC restaurant and believe me that looking at the price you will find the menu very cheap. We tried the traditional South Indian Thali, Masala Doas and Cashew Rava Dosa and they did more than justice to these dishes. They were awesome and very very tasty. The staff was also very cooperative and helpful. The service was very quick and any additional things which we ordered were served to us.
They also have shops outside if you would like to buy some good Indian traditional container for your kitchen.
The ambience of this restaurant was also very good and had the touch of Hinduism. This is a purely veg restaurant whixh we were looking for. Sorry that I should have mentioned this at the top of my review. Trust me that we thoroughly enjoyed the South Indian delecacies here. I bet you will not be left disheartened after vising this place irrespective of whxih part of India you belong to.

Read moreAs a long-time fan of Saisangeet's highway branches, I've come to associate their name with a lively atmosphere and, most importantly, the best biryani on the Chennai-Salem route. So, when I found myself hungry on a trip back to Chennai, my heart lifted when Google suggested the Saisangeet in Ambur. I was ready for a fantastic dinner that would live up to my fond memories. However, the moment I stepped inside, the usual vibrant Saisangeet energy was missing. The place felt quiet and subdued. My enthusiasm was quickly dampened when I learned that my favorite biryani wasn't even available for dinner—a stark contrast to their other branches. The waiter's blunt "we don't" left me surprised and disappointed. Reluctantly, I ordered a Chilli Parotta since I didn't want to settle for idli or dosa. Unfortunately, the food failed to impress. The vegetables were dry and lacked the fresh, juicy crunch that usually makes their dishes so appealing. Even the filter coffee, while good, felt like it was missing the freshness I had come to expect. What I Ordered: Chilli Parotta Filter Coffee Total Bill: ₹170 Final Verdict: This experience was a disappointing departure from the Saisangeet I know and love. While the bill was low, the quality of the food and the limited menu felt like a missed opportunity. To maintain its reputation, Saisangeet must uphold its core promise of freshness and quality across all...
Read moreEven though they provide tasty vegetarian dishes, last week Wednesday night around 8pm when I asked for 3 onion rava dosas and also billed as 3 onion ravas and also paid for the same, on reaching 12 km to my village from the hotel,at 9.30pm in the night we were shocked to see only single poori was packed and only sambar was packed for side dish. Among the family members one person could not have the dinner and made to starve for the night.
Very careless attitude of executing the parcel items, also the person in the cash also behaved in an unfriendly manner, he on a confusion insisted for a tea amount not included, even though I was telling him that I have not taken tea he called the person who served me and asked whether the tea was served to me, he confirmed that the tea was served. But the cashier was not convinced, I was made to stand before the cash counter for 10 minutes for no fault of mine. Management should correct this type of rude behaviour...
