Writing review just after having food at this restaurant. Had mini tiffen which included pongal, mini masal dosa, vada, sweet, idly, sambar, vada and two types of chutney. This costed Rs.145 with taxes. Not worth the money. Unfortunately, I will not visit this restaurant again.
There are 3 reasons why I rated 1 star - Low quality food, Ambience, Utensils and Service.
Low food Quality: None of the food items are hot except mini masal dosa as it has to be with no other choice but still came with undercooked dosa that lacks crispiness and soggy masala within the dosa. Idly was not hot, vada was not crispy and cold, pongal was not tasty(better quality rice, more ghee), sambhar was neither hot nor tasty(needs salt and tamarind, with less spice). Kesari bath has tuti fruity in it and low in sugar. Only thing that was good there is white chutney. One simple recommendation is to atleast have a microwave and heat the food for the customers, better way is to prepare when asked and give them hot, this changes the game altogether. Serve hot!
Ambience: Menu is awkward. Plates are not clean and can still see dirt stains. Ambience was not welcoming, it was very mediocre, a simple table to make a payment. Recommendation: Have a good place for customers to come to to make a payment. provide with some mouth freshners after food. Use steel utensils or ceramic with banana leaves. QC the utensils before giving to customers.
Service: I went for breakfast, nobody was there in the restaurant. I was the only one. Waiter should provided clear undivided attention to the customers to that he will come back in the future. But the person who took the order did not care about the customer. He just kept waiting to take the order staring at me the whole time I was looking at the menu and out of pressure had to order faster. Chose mini tiffen to try out all the things at this restaurant. Recommendation: Make customer feel like he is god(best way to take care of a guest at home) by showering the hospitality. Don't intimidate them and give space to look at the menu and order. Serve hot food and ask for feedback to improve.
This resturant will only change when the real owner who is passionate about this restaurants sits and looks into each and every issue I described and corrects them. Waiter, Manager, service member, cleaners, owner's sister etc will not really bother to bring this restaurant to a premium level except the owner, so I urge the owner to pay closest attention to detail to make this a...
Read moreOne of the best vegetarian restaurants on Mudichur Road in West Tambaram, since one cannot find another vegetarian restaurant on Mudichur Road with the ambience and atmosphere on offer at this place. Food on offer is moderately priced and also mildly spicy. A welcome place to have the standard vegetarian tiffin items (like idli, dosa, bonda, chola puri,et al, with various chutneys and sambar) with family at a leisurely pace along with air conditioning ambience. The dining area on the first floor also offers a view of the traffic on Mudichur Road and Chennai by-pass, since it is located on Mudichur Road on the corner of the service road near the underpass of Chennai by-pass. Visited recently on a Saturday weekend evening for dinner, was very crowded at the first floor with no tables available and a crowd of people standing at the entrance. The allottment of tables was not properly managed, so could not get a table for 3 people even after half an hour of waiting. Had to take a parcel from the ground floor and leave, getting the parcel also had a waiting periodof half an hour. If tables are fully occupied upstairs, hotel management can notify customers entering downstairs itself that "All Tables are full upstairs, parcels available for takeaway", for better treatment...
Read moreUsually, when starting early from Chennai for a drive, I never face trouble finding a restaurant on the highway. I'm quite particular about certain aspects like parking space, tidy bathrooms, a kid-friendly atmosphere, and good food. However, on November 24th, I started a bit late and encountered the usual Chennai traffic. I was worried about finding a decent restaurant along the way, especially since some Google reviews were disappointing.
Fortunately, I stumbled upon this restaurant with a high rating and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find ample parking space and was impressed by the availability of an elder-friendly lift right at the entrance. The restroom was impeccably clean. Moreover, the food was exceptional, especially their exotic varieties of dosa, which were the icing on the cake. The restaurant staff was courteous and the hospitality was excellent. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and this restaurant has definitely earned a spot in my list of favorites. Keep up...
