Sri Krishna Inn in Shoolagiri has been a cherished stop for many travelers on the Bangalore-Chennai highway, myself included. Its prime location right beside the highway makes it incredibly convenient for a quick break, especially for breakfast. Over the years, it’s been a go-to spot for those looking to enjoy traditional South Indian cuisine before hitting the road again. One of the best things about Sri Krishna Inn is its accessibility. The restaurant is easy to find, and the ample parking space is a huge plus. The breakfast offerings have always been a highlight, with a variety of dosas, idlis, and vadas that are perfect for starting the day. The ambiance is inviting, and the service is usually prompt, making it a great pitstop for weary travelers. However, on my recent visit, I noticed a few changes that were a bit disappointing. The quality of the food has slipped compared to what it used to be. The menu has also undergone changes, and some of my favorite items are no longer the same. For instance, I was particularly let down when I found out they no longer serve sagu with poori; instead, they offer dosa masala, which just doesn’t have the same appeal. Despite these setbacks, Sri Krishna Inn still holds a special place in my heart. The staff is always friendly, and the overall atmosphere remains pleasant. I truly hope the management addresses these issues and brings back the quality and flavors we all love. If they do, it will undoubtedly remain a beloved spot for many more travelers to come.

Rating: ★★★★☆ Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shri Krishna Inn, located on NH 44 in Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu. As a vegetarian, I was delighted to discover this hotel that caters exclusively to vegetarians. The overall experience was truly satisfying, and I would highly recommend it. The food at Shri Krishna Inn was simply fantastic. I particularly enjoyed their flavorful sambar, delicious Pongal, crispy Vada, aromatic coffee, and mouthwatering dosas. The sambar, in particular, stood out as a highlight of my meal. It had the perfect blend of spices and tasted heavenly. The service at the hotel was commendable. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and prompt in taking care of our needs. They ensured that our dining experience was pleasant and hassle-free, making us feel welcomed and valued as guests. Shri Krishna Inn also impressed me with its comfortable seating and ample parking space. The seating arrangements were cozy, providing a relaxed ambiance for enjoying the food. Additionally, the convenient parking options made it hassle-free for visitors to find a spot for their vehicles. In summary, Shri Krishna Inn offers a delightful vegetarian dining experience. The food is exceptional, especially the sambar, Pongal, Vada, coffee, and dosas. The service is excellent, and the seating and parking options are convenient. I would rate Shri Krishna Inn with four stars for delivering an enjoyable vegetarian dining experience.

An average veg hotel. We had a very delayed service, like no one came to take the orders atleast for 15 mins. Then the food was ok kind except the masala dosa, hope the masala was expired. Had a slight foul taste as well as issues after that. But for fried rice the taste was ok but the quality was too low, the pricing is somewhat ok. They never provide drinking water till we leave. The cleaning ladies was in such a hurry that they tooked even my half cup of coffee while I was having the other half in my glass. And the waiter was like keep on asking for bill pay without leaving us to even wash the hands. Apart from all they have a nice snacks counter. And it's ok for familys. Lot of parking space, and spacious restrooms that are clean and usable. Near by petrol pump, air filling and lot more. A best place to have a break when driving from Bangalore towards Salem. For a safe and healthy meal an A2B is there within 1 or 2 kms.

4/5 for taste. All the food we ate Ghee Roast Dosa, Jeera Rice, Curd Rice, Paneer Butter Masala and full Meals were all very tasty.

0/5 for cleanliness. We were assigned a table that was just vacated. So the previous diners plates were still there. The cleaning ladies took away the plates, sprinkled some water and wiped it down with an already saturated sponge. They threw the debris over the table and it fell to the ground and then left it dripping wet with sambar and curry leaves still sticking to the table.

The floors were constantly being mopped but it was even more disgusting to see rice grains on the floor being intentionally mushed under the mop and being smeared all over the floor.

2/5 for service. Food was served in dirty overused yellow colour plastic plates. We really hated the plates, they had stains and scratches from use. Disposable spoons were given and only 1 steel spoon. The server informed us that spoons were over.

Service was abysmal as only the waiter who is assigned to the table will serve you, others won't even listen to you. And we had to wait for 10-15 mins for OUR waiter just to get Salt for our curd...
