Sri Krishna Inn in Shoolagiri has been a cherished stop for many travelers on the Bangalore-Chennai highway, myself included. Its prime location right beside the highway makes it incredibly convenient for a quick break, especially for breakfast. Over the years, it’s been a go-to spot for those looking to enjoy traditional South Indian cuisine before hitting the road again.
One of the best things about Sri Krishna Inn is its accessibility. The restaurant is easy to find, and the ample parking space is a huge plus. The breakfast offerings have always been a highlight, with a variety of dosas, idlis, and vadas that are perfect for starting the day. The ambiance is inviting, and the service is usually prompt, making it a great pitstop for weary travelers.
However, on my recent visit, I noticed a few changes that were a bit disappointing. The quality of the food has slipped compared to what it used to be. The menu has also undergone changes, and some of my favorite items are no longer the same. For instance, I was particularly let down when I found out they no longer serve sagu with poori; instead, they offer dosa masala, which just doesn’t have the same appeal.
Despite these setbacks, Sri Krishna Inn still holds a special place in my heart. The staff is always friendly, and the overall atmosphere remains pleasant. I truly hope the management addresses these issues and brings back the quality and flavors we all love. If they do, it will undoubtedly remain a beloved spot for many more...

Read more4/5 for taste. All the food we ate Ghee Roast Dosa, Jeera Rice, Curd Rice, Paneer Butter Masala and full Meals were all very tasty.
0/5 for cleanliness. We were assigned a table that was just vacated. So the previous diners plates were still there. The cleaning ladies took away the plates, sprinkled some water and wiped it down with an already saturated sponge. They threw the debris over the table and it fell to the ground and then left it dripping wet with sambar and curry leaves still sticking to the table.
The floors were constantly being mopped but it was even more disgusting to see rice grains on the floor being intentionally mushed under the mop and being smeared all over the floor.
2/5 for service. Food was served in dirty overused yellow colour plastic plates. We really hated the plates, they had stains and scratches from use. Disposable spoons were given and only 1 steel spoon. The server informed us that spoons were over.
Service was abysmal as only the waiter who is assigned to the table will serve you, others won't even listen to you. And we had to wait for 10-15 mins for OUR waiter just to get Salt for our curd...
