Have been to Silvertip Cafe almost every time when I have travelled past this place, you know by now how frequent I could have been. Many Favourites at this place starting from their Masala Tea, Brownies, Home Made Chocolates, Library, Cozy Seating and Ambience in & out. This place is perfect stop for a tea after uphill driving/riding or even while riding/driving downhill to take home those chocolates.
Important Note: This Cafe is located just before/after a blind curve, so you have to be extremely careful while stopping by or even crossing the road, limited parking for four or two wheelers on site.
Update on Rooms: As of 2023 April, the rooms are of big size, Queen Beds, comfortable ones, extra beds available on request, each room could accommodate upto three extrabeds easily, maximum four.
Bath is seperated from hand wash, and health faucets using glass cubicle, so its easy to use footwear inside the restrooms.
Water heaters are almost always on, in-room geyser controls are not operable as they are taped to switch-off position. Towels are provided in the bath, which are now old, replacing with new towels would be a good idea about now.
Campfire pit, sitouts and benches are nice touch to the chic lawn at the property.
There is also a small dining area attached to the guesthouse, where you could accomodate about ten people for breakfast, lunch, dinner hours. Outside food is allowed inside...
Read moreCafe review: Have been here few times, this time completely unsatisfied with service. My son 7yo spilled the hot chocolate he ordered (as it was very hot and poured some on his pant) without even sipping the second time. I would’ve have happily paid the spillage/cleaning charges if asked instead of facing that look from the billing staff as he is delayed due to this and his staffs have to clean. I understand it’s closing time, they could have told me upfront and I would’ve walked out, (I entered during closing hours around 7.45 pm)
I walked out to provide another hot chocolate to the car, they were asking back the plastic cup like we were taking it away. They made me realise that I can pay 450rs for 3 hot chocolates and a lemon tea, but can’t afford to buy that plastic cup on my own.
Food should be served with grace and smile (which their serving staff did ) but since billing counter person didn’t share positive vibes, I would avoid this place hence forth.
P.S : similar kind of spilling instance happened few weeks back by my nephew this time in an established restaurant (looks like the kids are serial offenders 🙂), the staff there understood the disappointment from the kids face and he understandingly said ‘I will give same juice FOC’ we felt humbled. I don’t expect this from restaurants as it’s our mistake...

From the moment we arrived, we were taken care of with such kindness and attention. Devi, the housekeeper, was an absolute sweetheart – always smiling, attentive to every little detail, and ensuring we were comfortable throughout. Her hospitality made us feel truly at home.
A special thanks also to Raja, the manager, who went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and hassle-free. From organizing local tips to being available whenever needed, his friendly demeanor and professionalism really stood out.
The rooms were cozy and well-maintained, and waking up to the crisp mountain air and greenery all around was the perfect escape from the hustle of city life. The food at the café was delicious – home-style, warm, and just what you’d want in a hill station.
