Sree Saravana Bhavan Veg. Treat - A Highway Gem for Authentic Tamil Nadu Flavors
Sree Saravana Bhavan Veg. Treat stands out as a true culinary haven for anyone craving authentic Tamil Nadu style vegetarian dishes, especially those traveling on the highway and looking for a delightful food break. This establishment consistently delivers on taste, variety, and the comforting flavors that define South Indian cuisine.
The Idli Experience: A Symphony of Chutneys One of the absolute highlights and a must-try at Sree Saravana Bhavan is their idli. These aren't just any idlis; they are remarkably soft, fluffy, and perfectly steamed, embodying the ideal texture of this beloved South Indian staple. What truly elevates the experience is the accompaniment of four different chutneys. This generous offering allows diners to explore a range of flavors with each bite – from the classic coconut and vibrant tomato to more unique and spicy variations that tantalize the palate. This thoughtful presentation showcases the restaurant's commitment to delivering an authentic and memorable idli experience.
The Mini Breakfast Combo: A Taste of Everything For those who want to sample a wider array of their breakfast specialties, the Mini Breakfast Combo is an absolute winner. This thoughtful platter provides small, perfectly portioned servings of various breakfast items, making it an ideal choice for both solo diners and groups looking to share. The combo typically includes: Idli: A delightful taste of their signature fluffy idlis. Vada: While flavorful, it's worth noting that the vada, though soft, was not as crisp as some might prefer. It leaned more towards a softer texture, which might appeal to some but could be a point of consideration for those who favor a perfectly crunchy vada. Kara Bath: A savory and aromatic semolina dish, offering a pleasant textural contrast. Mini Masala Dosa: A smaller version of the popular crispy dosa filled with a spiced potato mixture, perfectly executed. Poori: Fluffy and light, a delightful accompaniment to the accompanying kurma or chutney. A Sweet: A lovely little treat to round off the meal. This combo offers an excellent opportunity to savor the breadth of their breakfast offerings without feeling overwhelmed, providing a comprehensive and satisfying start to the day.

The consistent quality of their authentic Tamil Nadu dishes, particularly the unparalleled idli with its chutney quartet and the varied mini breakfast combo, makes this establishment a standout choice. Despite the slightly softer vada, the culinary experience here is undoubtedly a treat for the taste buds and a testament to the rich flavors of South Indian vegetarian cuisine. It's a place where you can refuel with genuinely delicious and authentic food before continuing...
Read moreStopped at this pure vegetarian motel during our drive to Bangalore after an early start around 3 AM. We were tired, hungry, and hoped for a quick, satisfying meal. Unfortunately, the experience began on a disappointing note.
The person who appeared to be the floor supervisor or head waiter was extremely rude and uninterested. There was no greeting or even basic courtesy when we entered. After seating ourselves at a table, he asked how many we were. I said two, and surprisingly, he asked us to move to another table — even though both were 4-seaters. It felt unnecessary and abrupt.
Even after we moved, he ignored us for nearly 15 minutes, roaming around without taking our order. We were already in a hurry to continue our journey and just needed a quick meal. When we requested hot water, he didn’t bring it nor did he ask any other staff member to assist. His behavior was indifferent and unprofessional — not what you'd expect at a place serving travelers.
But then came the saving grace — the lady server, the akka who brought the food. She was kind, attentive, and efficient. She gave us water, served the food we ordered, and really made an effort to make us feel cared for. Thanks to her, we left the place feeling much better than when we arrived.
She truly deserves appreciation. One person's kindness can turn around an...

The service was excellent. He was polite. He was forcibly serving us more and more.
There was not much rush. There were hardly 5-10 customers. I have read others feedback about our service. Probably at that time there would have been lot of rush. It happens some times. Can't help it.

The rate was on the higher side. But it has to be. Because he has to run his business. And if you don't want the high price, there are plenty of hotels with cheaper rates.
