Sree Saravana Bhavan — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

A mimic - copycat is a harsh word though. First, this restaurant plagiarized its name from a reputed and famed Chennai based restaurant chain in order to cash in on their brand.

Secondly, they also copied the layout of artefact shops from reputed restaurants such as Saisangeet and Saisuprabatham in order to attract the loyal customers of those brands.

Location was just before A2B. It was quite evident that the reason was to attract unwary A2B loyal customers. Bright lights and attractive design with ample parking space with a petrol bunk just adjacent to it had worked enough to draw me into the restaurant.

The restaurant had done its mimicking work well. A perfectly crafted plagiarism, a jumbled appropriation of brand names.

However, even the well crafted exteriors couldn't hide the disappointment reeking inside.

Half of the restaurant was empty.

There were more waiters than customers inside. Perhaps more staff than twice the number of tables put together.

But for the first five minutes, every waiter were looking the other way around. After losing patience, I called upon a disinterested server to order a plain dosa and a water bottle. Incidentally, they had only tiffin available. No problems for me.

Dosa was good. Varieties of chutnies were nice.

Total bill was ten percent less than one hundred. Having always been used to paying through card, I asked the waiter to bring a card machine. He told me, only cash was acceptable.

Funny!

I didn't go on to investigate if he's telling the truth. I offered him One hundred rupees in cash, but he didn't even bother about bringing the change back. Did he assume himself that I had voluntarily tipped him?

I didn't complain. Having waited for a few seconds more to see that the waiter had really pocketed the change himself, I bade good bye to the restaurant.

On the way to Chennai, I glanced at the A2B just a few hundred meters ahead, gleaming in the night lights. I just continued with my journey into the rainy night, having been amply satisfied with the dosa from Sree...

Very Good and neatly maintained and clean restaurant on the way to Salem. we have stopped here for Breakfast with a family of 6 members and whatever we ordered came in very hot hot and it was so tasty that each of our family members liked the taste very much. As soon as we place the order all of us were first served with yummy and tasty kesari bath in bowls which is complimentary here and it was so fresh and completely prepared in pure ghee that even we have served for 8 months of baby too without any hesitation.

There is ample amount of parking space and this place can be easily noticed from the highway itself. The hotel is maintained very neatly including the bathrooms. We should really appreciate the staff and all the employees here who is maintaining the hotel so neatly and that too in hygienic. All the staff members are friendly in nature and they take your order with pleasing smile and food will be served within short period of time.

There is a small shop which will have fresh home made sweets and snacks including the biscuits too so for quick eat way we have grab some of them and enjoy it while on the drive. Overall a very good place to stop for breakfast if you are travelling from Bangalore...

I have visited this Most Famous Hotel Sree Saravana Bhavan near Hosur Highway with my Family I would like to share few WORST experience which we have come across We have stepped into the Hotel at 3:45 PM we have asked for a Veg Meals and the management has replied no where in Tamilnadu you will get the Meals at this Time 😐 that was a desparate Behaviour and one minute silence for all the Saravana Bhavan out there later we have ordered for few plates of veg Biryani and it got served without the minimum sense no water served no curd or no any side dish for it 😮 when we asked the server for it we got an excellent reply "You can complaint to Branch Manager for the curd" please do not visit this place no customer manners thought to the server and staff taste is also not that great I feel pity for such a big brand First of all why we would pay such a huge prices for small quantity of food just for their good customer experience and taste but here you can't even expect it. This is no more a family restaurant I would like to give -5 star rating...
