Sri Aariya Bhavan — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

On an official visit found the restaurant for lunch by late afternoon. Only sambar and curd rice were available. Once I ordered sambar rice it was over.

Food was good but very costly, they haven't provided any side dish (pappadam, oorughai) even not a tumbler, the jug has only a little water in it but enough for my thirst. So I took a pack of pakkoda kept for sale near the bill counter.

I was charged Rs.95, when asked about the side dish then only the guy at the counter enquired the servers and shouted at them in Hindi (pagal ye gya). We noticed them having their lunch with pappadam with no sign of care for his scoldings. Then he said sorry sir don't take up this mistake we will provide you 2 pappadam next time while you visit. Mediocre veg hotel. You have very little choice for veg hotel in Ayapakkam. Rates are ok and quality is also ok. Suggest don't go for fried rice 🍚 kind of stuff. Rice is prepared around 4 pm and left to cool down in the open after that. All sorts of dust will accumulate in stuff like rice, mushrooms, noodles etc. Since there's no other go, you have to keep going...

Worst service. Entered hotel by 9 pm on a week day. They took all the orders without having/giving any hint that they are running out of supplies. After 45mins still waiting for food. Finally the partially served few dishes that too very cold. They were neither cancelling the undelivered food items so that we can move to another hotel. Worst attitude...
