What an atmosphere!! :) At Sadhana Forestâs Tea Hut youâll dive in into the lovely philosophy people live at Sadhana Forest.
Itâs the perfect chance to get easily in touch with the open-minded short-/ and longterm volunteers of the Sadhana Forest project and local people of the village while drinking one of the most delicious VEGAN chai teaâs on this planet. And of course youâll get a vegan laddu on top. This tea hut is a very inspiring safe space in which you can reflect on unlimited topics about living and philosophy and all kind of things. You can be inspired to view your life back home from another ankle and understand more about the vegan lifestyle and the benefits of a plant based diet in terms of your own health and the environment. As well what it means to run a reforestation project of course. Every Saturday youâll find an amazing âPotluck-eventâ with live music. There youâll be invited for dinner. And of course also here: everything is vegan - as every diet in Sadhana Forest.
Donât worry if you directly feel attached to this philosophy and want to dive deeper: just walk a few meters further and visit the project itself. There will be always people around who can show you the project and tell you about how life is there. And feel free to volunteer there for 4 weeks if you think this fits for you :)
Ah - and get used to the fact that if you ask for the bill they wonât have any for you ;) All is free. The tea hut is based on the concept of a âgift-communityâ. They share what they have without expecting to receive anything back. Pure giving instead of taking. A lovely and inspiring taste of what life can feel like if you donât live in a capitalistic system. Another thing on what I could reflect on when I...
Read moreThis is a place that we visit often as a family to enjoy sunsets, we like it a lot! Here you can have a cup or two of delicious vegan coconut chai and laddus (sweets). Our children (aged 7 and 5) love this place! They love the atmosphere and the people here, they love this tea made from coconut milk and spices, and they are crazy about laddus (Here you can often hear a child's voice saying: "Can I have one more laddu?"). Children can also read some books here, play building blocks or enjoy the sounds of nature. A wonderful place for families where everyone feels accepted and loved :)
The Tea Hut also hosts a vegan potluck on Saturday evenings (6pm), where you can enjoy delicious meals with local people and people from all around the world in a lovely, cosy atmosphere. Usually, there's some music, dance, poetry or other form of artistic expression for anyone interested.
This is a place where gift economy is practiced, so everything is offered for free. Wonderful! We are truly grateful for being a part of this. Thank you for living these values and giving children respect and space to be...
Read moreThe Sadhana Tea hut is the place I go to relax. It's a calm, welcoming space - so welcoming in fact that the moment you step through the door, or if it's busy, the moment you sit down, somebody will hand you a cup of kambucha or delicious, home-brewed vegan chai and a smile.
The location is far enough away from the busy roads that you have a great meditative environment for finding peace in a cup or a conversation. Regulars include but are not exclusively consistent of the volunteers from the nearby Sadhana Forest reforestation project. Speaking from personal experience, many of these present excellent opportunity for a talk, deep or shallow, partially I think due to the wide variety of nationalities that visit the forest to volunteer.
On Saturdays there is a Sadhana-organised all-vegan potluck where they invite anyone, be you from the nearby villages or the other side of the world, for a moment together with good food and music under the night sky. Oh, and did I mention that it's all free?...
