The Baking Society - Keeranatham — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

The moment we heard about the recently opened premium pastry shop in town, we couldn’t stay calm but visit them twice in just 1 week! They have a wideee variety of succulent pastries n savouries, baked freshly each day n kept in display around noon. They mostly get sold out like hotcakes within just few hours! We tried what caught our eyes n here goes the first part of our review,

👩🏻‍🍳 Korean Bun - Their Korean buns are simply out of the world! The flavor is pleasing to the taste buds, texture is smooth; very creamy & delicious with the bun being perfectly soft & fluffy. They're definitely one of their MUST TRY’s 🌟

👩🏻‍🍳 Chicken cheese sandwich - With the right amount of filling & the absolutely perfect combination of tender chicken & melted cheese their sandwich was extremely delicious. They were literally made to perfection! I’m not at all exaggerating!

👩🏻‍🍳 Watermelon mojito - They had a couple of mojitos but we tried their watermelon mojito which was so refreshing! The sweet fruit flavor pairs perfectly with the tangy lime & the fresh mint. It's an absolutely perfect drink for a hot summer day!

👩🏻‍🍳 Homemade Chocolates - We bought one of their celebration/gift box which had a few varieties of homemade chocolates in it. They were absolutely rich, decadent & indulgent, and I love how it melts in the mouth. The depth of flavor is so satisfying, & it's the perfect treat when you need a little pick-me-up or need to gift someone a something lil sweet!

👩🏻‍🍳 Tres Leches Cake - It had a beautiful flavour of Pistachio in it making it so unique & delicious, and the cake is perfectly moist and fluffy. The combination of creamy milk and nutty pistachio is so satisfying, and it's a dessert that you won't forget anytime soon. Another must try for people who likes moist creamy pastries! 🌟

👩🏻‍🍳 Pistachio Jar cake - The rich & nutty flavor of the pistachios were perfectly balanced by the light and fluffy cake, and the creamy frosting on top n inbetween was the perfect touch. They're so creamy & yummy. Very light yet satisfying at the same time!

👩🏻‍🍳 Eclair - This is the first n the only place in the city that (in my opinion n experience) makes flawless Eclair just the way it has to be made! The light & fluffy pastry is the perfect vessel for the rich and creamy filling, & the chocolate glaze n cream on top is the perfect finishing touch. They tasted so heavenly. Eclairs always hit the spot when you're craving something sweet. Another MUST try from their menu🌟

👩🏻‍🍳 Oreo Donut - Where do I even begin with. I’m trying an Oreo flavoured donut for the first time n it was simply the best 👌🏻The combination of the rich white chocolate & the crunchy Oreo on top was so luscious, & the texture of the donut is perfectly soft and fluffy. It's the perfect treat for any time of day, & a must try for donut lovers 🌟

👩🏻‍🍳 Lemon Macaron - The delicate shell perfectly complementing the bright & tangy lemon filling, and the combination of sweet & sour is top notch. They're not only so pretty and elegant to look at, but also tastes amazingly good 👌🏻❤️

On the whole, it’s a perfect spot for those with a sweet tooth like me. They have a brilliant variety of extremely delicious pastries n savouries made using premium quality ingredients. The best part is, their desserts do not make u feel full/heavy/give you a sugar rush even if eaten too much at one go. They are just perfect, makes anyone fall...

DARK CHOCOLATE TART - They’re a perfect combination of flaky crust & rich, creamy dark chocolate. The chocolate filling was smooth & decadent, with just the right amount of sweetness. A good chocolate tart should have a balanced flavor, not too bitter or too sweet - and this was one such. The crust being crisp & buttery, providing a nice contrast to the creamy chocolate filling. Overall, such a delicious & an indulgent dessert that I highly recommend for dark chocolate & tart lovers!

🍰NEWYORK CHEESECAKE - A classic dessert that never disappoints (provided its made the right way). It was rich & creamy, with a smooth & velvety texture. The crust was crisp giving a nice contrast to the creamy cheesecake filling. Flavour being dense yet not too sweet, with a subtle tanginess from the cream cheese. With the Berry topping, it was flawless!

🍰BERLINER - Berliners are a type of doughnut that originated in Germany. It was light & fluffy, with a creamy & flavorful filling. Vanilla custard oozing out of the perfectly crisp n soft outer layer sprinkled with powdered sugar. So so yumm n a must try for those who love donuts!

🍰TIRAMISU - Absolutely rich n decadent Italian dessert that I love dearly. Delicate ladyfingers that are soaked in espresso & then layered with a rich & creamy mascarpone cheese filling. The filling was airy light & fluff, with a subtle sweetness that is balanced by the bitterness of espresso. Dusted with cocoa powder, it had an aroma n flavour of coffee n tasted out of the world!

🍰 COFFEE ALMOND CHOUX - Its a delicious pastry that combines flavors of coffee & almond in a light & airy choux pastry. It’s very light yet fluffy, with a crisp exterior and a tender interior. The filling was smooth & creamy, with a rich coffee flavor that is complemented by the nutty taste of almonds. Topped with whipped cream, it tasted so delicious!

🍰TENDER COCONUT MOUSSE - A very light dessert yet, something that makes an impression in the heart. It’s a beautiful lil piece of dessert to gorge on in summer. Gives a chilled, fresh tender coconut flavour when taken a bite. Looks n taste both were equally satisfying!

🍰FRAISIER - A strawberry dessert that not only looks gorgeous but also tastes amazing. With fresh strawberries on the outside n it's compote on the inside, it was heavenly! For someone who likes only thre fruit n not the strawberry flavoured dessert, this changed my mind!

🍰MELTING MOMENTS - Absolutely decadent light airy chocolate n hazelnut flavoured dessert that looks tempting n tasted extraordinary.

🍰TRIO PASTRY- Its another decadent dessert that combines the flavors of dark, milk & white chocolate in a single pastry. The pastry was light, soft & velvety smooth that gives way to a rich & creamy chocolate filling. The dark chocolate having a deep & intense flavor, while the milk chocolate adding subtle sweetness & creaminess to the pastry. It was an absolute bliss!

Updated review: This is an update to the positive review I left earlier because I find their business etiquette to be quite irksome. I visited their Saibaba Colony branch around 10.45 pm on a Saturday only to be informed that they had run out of stock completely, although they were still open. Later that week, I visited the Keeranatham branch, (see review below), when once again, they were largely out of stock. I don't understand why this place is always so under-stocked. I revisited the Saibaba Colony branch a third time on a Monday around 6 pm and they were closed for the day without prior intimation! Who would've ever thought they would be closed on a working day which was not even a public holiday!

Original review: The tiny chocolate cake was a delightful treat. Don't be fooled by its misnomer, it is anything but tiny. The layered chocolate cake underneath a curtain of rich, decadent milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate, was perfectly moistened with a tiny bit of a chocolate mousse layer. It's the sweetest ending to a tough day, any day! They have quite an interestingly exquisite selection of pastries, served by friendly and helpful staff. We were helped by Mr. Arasan who hosted us despite walking in when they were about to close.
