The Hobbit Garden Restaurant (Only on Reservation) — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

This place literally ruined new year for us . Am not sure how this place has earned its 4.4 star. When we went there all seats were occupied, we were asked to wait for 30 minutes. A genuine request ? We also fell for that... They took our order and after waiting for 45 odd minutes , we finally got the seat. And during this time 4-5 more families came. Then the nightmare started. One by one all of them started getting food and we were asked to wait. The other families completed their food and they left the place as well and we are still waiting to have our first bite. Finally we got 2 starters, which finally felt a relief but then we got a reality check of the place when the 2nd family also finished their lunch and left. And we were still with those 2 starters waiting for other portion of our order.

When we questioned, they replied saying that you orders starters and the others ordered main course first and then starters. Once main course is served they will complete the table order first hence they prefered to serve the other table than ours. So finally post wasting 2 hours we left the place empty stomach(with 2 five year old ones)

They might make money but whats the point of such money making if you are OK to send back customers empty stomach who helps you get your daily...

This place looks stunning with the views and Camp site is spectacular. I am just back 2 days ago and already want to visit again :)

Cafe: Classy experience, reminded me of Rasta Cafe in Bangalore, but imagine such a class in such a beautiful location is a boon for visitors. Chocolates: Are all made from Coco and not from Chocolate slabs, the flavor is original and outstanding. Varkey - The varkey biscuit tastes so much different that the usual Ooty Varkey, for the modest reason that its made out of Jaggery & not sugar. Tea, Cake, Pastries - are all In-house products, made with complete dedication & passion

Camp Site: As mentioned above, the tents are spacious, warm, well ventilated, protected from rains. Above all, the views from the camp site or the tents are excellent and perfect to suit the weather.

The staffs are warm and welcoming and the host/Owner of this place Mr. NK, is a very friendly person. He will ensure you are 100% satisfied with the experience from this place, its not just about the stay & food, there's lots that he can offer. Indoor activities, visit to a nearby Tea Factory etc.

Would love to visit this place again...

A big shout out to Mr.Saravanan and his wonderful staffs who hosted us at sunset camping last weekend.. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable specially b cos they took all efforts to make us feel comfortable (young kids.. teenagers and our dogs- all of them were given equal importance ) Food was homely and tasty.. they also have a cafe menu which the kids thoroughly enjoyed Saravanan took great care to make sure we felt pampered to say the least.. their hospitality was commendable Chai and verki is to die for 😀 (which by the way they can courier if we are buying a certain quantity) Property is spacious.. super green and soooo damn close to nature with very clean restrooms

We are surely going back to this home away from...
