Worst ever restaurant. We were on a trip to yercaud last month with family including kids. After visiting few sites and long drive we chose to eat at this restaurant and reached around 2pm. Kids were already hungry by then. Some how we got a spot and ordered food after 30 mins wait. Then started the most worst experience we ever had. The person who took our order never bothered to come to our table after that. We reached out to manager and other service people for food almost after an hour's wait. However they served the people who arrived after us upon checking they said they had reserved already. Table reservation we get it, what the hell with food how come one can do that. If that was possible why we were not informed when we waited with kids. Almost after 1.5 hour by then it3.30 kids and my mom were very hungry and we lost the cool. Talking to managers and person who took order atleast for 5 times they made us wait. Around 4pm we left the place then the person who took order came running behind us that food is ready. Want to call out particularly there was a person with 50's or 60's styled moustache you sir why the he'll are you working in a restaurant if you can't do proper customer service. When entire team can't see and do needful to bring food ordered for kids atleast what's the purpose of being in food industry if you can't understand the hunger of kids or any customer. Such a bad attitude and bad service I highly say no for this place. However after we left there we found another restaurant and looking at kids they made us for with what they had and served us.Thats is humanity and food industry service. If you have said we would have gone to another place. At the same time few other customer came in and shouted for long waits.
You guys Suck if you have...
Read moreThe last two visits to Kingswood in Yercaud was for breakfast, this time it was for lunch.
I ordered for a vegetarian thali, and a masala omelette, and went to take pictures and play for a few minutes in the mountain stream flowing close by.
The meal arrived with my return, seeing the colourful, oval and circular filled cups, plated with the rightly cut plantain leaf, my first sense got tingled.
A bowl of white rice, a cup of tamarind rice, snake gourd, spiced beetroot, and banana vegetable, beans and onion sambar, garlic vathakulambhu, rasam, curd, appalam, and paasi parupu payasam, and me requesting for pickles,(mango)they all went to make a complete, filling thali.
Every item went great with white rice, none too spicy, nor bland, no wastage nor insufficiency, just right.
Well researched, rightly proportioned, ideally tasted for the summer.
The location, settings, atmosphere, just right, be it alone, family, or with friends, you should try out Kingwood, the next time you ride...
Read moreA menu stuffed under the car wiper actually led us to this place. The restaurant was clean. I liked the way the interiors have been designed and the lightning at night adds to the ambience of the place. The restaurant is located on a curve on the road and looks brilliant when lit up at night.
The staff were courteous and the service was quick. The food was good and not exactly expensive. We started with Kozhi Rasam, a spicy indian soup, served hot on a cool night, it was good. I don't know the dish names ( as i wasn't the one who ordered) that were ordered but they all were good. The curry was perfect for the Butter Kulcha that remained soft until it was consumed. The star though was the Ilaneer Payasum or Tender Coconut Payasum. A must try. The Gajar Ka Halwa was good too. We ended our dinner with a cup of hot lemon tea. Overall i would certainly recommend this place. And will most certainly visit next time I am in Yercaud. Hope the management maintains the standards...
