We visited this place yesterday after finding it on Google, where it clearly mentions “bar” in the name. But to our surprise, they don’t even have a liquor license. That was the first red flag.
The first server we interacted with was professional and quick but that was the only positive part of our experience. Since we had traveled quite a bit to get here, we had no choice but to eat. And honestly, we regret that decision. The food was outright disappointing. Spaghetti Arrabiata at a so-called fine dining restaurant had carrots and beans in it - seriously? That’s just unacceptable! The Railway Chicken Curry, recommended by the server, was average too and lacked flavour.
By the time we were finishing our meal, the restaurant was nearly empty, yet the service was painfully slow. The servers were responsive but lacked efficiency and the food took way longer than promised.
For a brand like Ayatana, this was a massive letdown. We expected far better and this experience has completely put us off from returning. I don't know how they can compensate for such an experience but I guess they would not care, as they were anyway so busy serving their internal team seated a few tables...

I had recently hosted my birthday lunch at Tycoons and the food was extremely good. It exceeded my expectations in every aspect. From the warm and inviting atmosphere to the impeccable service and outstanding cuisine, this restaurant is a gem in the culinary scene. Everything we had at Tycoons was simply amazing and and a must try would be the Chicken Steak, BBQ Chicken wings and Baked Spinach and Potato dip.
Whether it's a special occasion or simply a desire for an exceptional dining experience, Tycoons is a must-visit destination for food. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return for another unforgettable meal. I must also say it's the 'BEST' restaurant in Ooty, be it for the ambience and the food.

We went here for our pre anniversary date. The service, food and ambience is amazing! Must visit place. The staff here have a pleasant demeanor. Mr Karthik and Mr. Sanjay were very accommodating and ensured we were comfortable and kept checking on us. It's a 5/5 for me.
