Vasantha bhavan — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Reasons:

We ordered 2 mini idlis. The sambar was completely cold. When we told the staff regarding the same, one of them replied that and I quote, "It is served like this only".

When we complained to another person they took the plate from our one table and placed it offended into our second table and stormed off to the kitchen. Extremely rude behaviour of their staff.

We told another staff to bring hot sambhar in our mini idlis. He went to kitchen and within 2 mins came out and served the plate. Only thing, the plate was hot but the food wasn't. We called him again and told him to bring us hot food not plates. He went inside for the second time and this time bought hot sambhar after said more than 10 times.

The last thing that made us not order anything further was, we were sitting and completing our food so we can get out of the restaurant. An insect fell into our sambhar. We told the staff about it, he said and I quote - "If from the fan, something falls. What can we do? If sambhar had an insect already then you tell it to us. This isn't our problem".

We went inside because of the name. We left because the staff isn't able to even barely touch the bar of how the restaurants should work.

Anyone who is going, please avoid this place....

Date of visit : 24th Nov. We had travelled from bangalore and went with a family of 3. waiter was extremely arrogant and seemed irritated for no apparent reason. We were very polite and were confused by the altitude shown as this had never happened to me in my 20 years of visiting any restaurants. At the end I had to leave the hotel complaining to some older person who appeared to be some kind of a manager but was disappointed when he didn't even bother to check the reason behind or apologize for the behavior and didn't bother if we left. There was another person who was sitting beside our table who joined me to complain to the manager as I was talking but the manager didn't bother to speak to him as well. Avoid this place at all cost, there is no accountability whatsoever and you can imagine what kind of food get's served in such places. When employees harass customers in front of management without repercussions, you can imagine what they do to your food...

These fellows are cunning cheaters. They have three hotels adjacent to each other, managed by a single management. Car parking is there only for one of the hotel they said. Ok agreed. But they offer customers of vasanta bavan to park the cars here by Rs 50/-., which cannot be accepted. Next come the food part, where the idly is prepared with very sour and old tasted, which kids didn't complete eat even single piece. Final part is still worse, the payment. They are not OK with the credit card. Reason they say is the service charge which they aren't OK with it. Running a big chain of restaurant across the state, but not accepting the credit card looks funny. Vasanta bavan name is completely now...
