A dinner at Zaitoon with friends is an experience designed for Arabian cuisine lovers and it lives up to its reputation with a menu bursting with flavors and variety. Our evening began with the signature Arabian grills—succulent Alfaham Dajaj and Dajaj Meshwi delivered a perfect blend of smoky char and aromatic spices that set the tone for the meal. The meats were juicy and well-marinated, and each bite showcased Zaitoon’s strength in Middle Eastern techniques.
We followed this with their unbeatable shawarma, which drew enthusiastic reviews from everyone at the table. Wrapped in soft khubz and loaded with well-spiced meat, the shawarma gets plenty of mention from loyal patrons for a reason. Alongside, a plate of hummus and falafel proved fresh and creamy, balanced with crunchy fried chickpea goodness. We than dug into the Crispy Fried Prawns which was mouthwateringly delicious.
For mains, we enjoyed the classic chinese Egg Fried rice overflowing with warming spices and subtle herb notes. The portion was generous and perfect for sharing.
Zaitoon's ambiance strikes the right note for gatherings, mixing comfort and a welcoming, family-style environment. Service was attentive and helpful, though there was a minor wait between courses on a busy evening—understandable given the crowd but worth noting if you visit at peak hours.
We rounded off our dinner with pistachio kunafa, perfectly capped the meal with its sweet and nutty flavors and also the Tender Coconut Falooda which was no less than a must have drink.
Pricing felt reasonable for the quality and quantity; Zaitoon is recognized as value for money, especially compared to its competitors.

Read moreHad lunch here with my family at Zaitoon for the first time and was blown away by the quality of the food served here 💯🎉😀 Barbecue chicken was yummy 😋 and the completement mayonnaises served were really good and blended with the chicken to devour. As well as the onion salad mixed with tomato and chilli was very nice 👍 Mutton Biryani was delicious and the complement raitha (onion with curd) and brinjal gravy was perfect to have with Biryani 😊 and I love this perfect combination. Payasam was served as complement with Biryani which was bit sweeter than it should be and am not sure whether everyone likes it, bread halwa would be better in my opinion. Veg fried rice was so good and the dragon chicken was not so tasty as we thought. We also ordered kunafa to take away, will review it after we taste it. The service was prompt and courteous. The item prices were bit on the higher end but the quality of the food justified the price and it's good for occasional dine outs. The restaurant is on the highway and parking 🅿️ is plenty, vehicles can be parked in front of the restaurant as well as they also have a free parking lot. The ambience is good for a dineout. The fresh juices were nice. Thank You 😊 and will try the Zaitoon in Anna nagar Chennai...
Read moreAs long distance travellers , we expected good food and hospitality but what we met up with was totally the opposite. The Zaitoon staff at Ambur were quite harsh and rude. We were 12 disappointed customers. Being a famous chain of restaurants in India, they failed to account for valuable customer experience. The floor managers showed attitude when we asked to be sat, tables were refused to be cleaned whilst we were waiting but the real icing on the cake was when we were shooed away for waiting at a nearby table. Ridiculous isn’t it? All in all , I would totally not recommend this place for tired and hungry travellers/ folks because the whole restaurant business is just not dependent on good food — it’s about fair and decent customer experience. Without that, it’s just worthless because we pay to eat and the least expected is to be treated with respect. Looks like it was the guy’s first job- because he just lost the restaurant a business worth 12 people. That being said , you just can’t slip or fail at customer experience even if the food is...
