We where travelling from Kerala to Ladak. On the way we ate dinner from here. We want experience the original Hyderabadi biriyani, so we choose this palace because it was on the way and also late night(almost 10.30pm). I already ate some Hyderabadi biriyani from Kochi, but the taste is little different here. I think it because this one is originalš.
We were 5 people and order 4 biriyani because I know that the biriyani serves here usually have more quantity than from kerala. That was right I guess because it was enough to fill our stomach. We ordered some chicken 65 also. Taste normal but it was brightened up with some added color. Even after washing my hands the red color was in my nails.
The premise was not clean at that time. I think it was because we entered there at almost end of that day. But not that messy. The people was very friendly. Explained the dishes and all. The vegetation dishes are also available there because we saw that in menu. We didn't mind that because we need to have some biriyani only. Will recommend this place to eat...

There is also more access to ingredients and hopefully that inventory will turn over fast. At home, a lot of inventory sits around for longer as the pack sizes are larger than consumption.

At home I grate fresh nutmeg for milk based sauces, such as the one I use for cauliflower cheese. Maybe once or twice a week that grater is used. My brother brought those back from a trip to India at least 4 years ago. If that was nutmeg in a jar, it would be in the bin by now. In that hotel kitchen they would use that quantity of fresh or dried nutmeg well...
